Typical steppe is the main zonal vegetation type in Xilingol region, which plays an important role in the production and development of grassland husbandry.Grassland management and improvement of vegetation productivity are the key issues to be solved in this region. In this study,Latin square design was used to analyze the effects of mowing, fertilization and climate(precipitation, temperature and years)on aboveground biomass of leymus chinensis community in typical steppe, providing scientific guidance for sustainable management of mowing grassland. The research conclusions are as follows:1.While mowing once a year in a short period of time, applying medium-level organic fertilizers year after year can improve the productivity and diversity of plant communities in grassland ecosystems, and is an effective management measure to maintain or improve plant community productivity in grassland ecosystems.2.Under natural conditions, the aboveground biomass of plant communities is mainly affected by community height, density and competition intensity at the community level;at the functional group level,it is mainly affected by the biomass of perennial rhizomatous grasses and perennial forbs; The population level was mainly affected by the height of Leymus chinensis and the aboveground biomass.3.Under the mowing treatment, the aboveground biomass of plant community was mainly affected by competition intensity, community height and density at the community level;at the functional group level,it was mainly affected by perennial weeds, perennial rhizomatous grasses, perennial clump grasses and The aboveground biomass of primary and biennial plants and the density of perennial weeds and perennial rhizomatous grasses are affected;at the population level,it is mainly affected by the aboveground biomass, height, density of Leymus chinensis population, the density of Cleistogenes squarrosa.and the population of Stipa krylovii high impact.4.Under the treatment of mowing + organic fertilizer application, the aboveground biomass of plant community was mainly affected by competition intensity, species diversity and community height at the community level;at the functional group level,it was mainly affected by the aboveground biomass and density of perennial weeds,Effects of aboveground biomass and height of perennial rhizomatous grasses and aboveground biomass of perennial tufted grasses;at the population level,it was mainly affected by population height and aboveground biomass of Leymus chinensis and Stipa krylovii.
