Drought stress is one of the abiotic stresses that seriously affect the plant growth and development.The molecular mechanisms of plants in response to drought stress generally include ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways.The ligand RALF of FERONIA receptor-like kinase(FER)binds to its extracellular ligand-binding domain and then negatively regulates the ABA response through the FER-GEF-ROP module.Peanut is widely planted in various regions of China and is an important oil crop in China.In the present study,the members of peanut FERONIA receptor-like kinase gene family were screened from the open peanut genome database,and the basic physicochemical properties,tissue expression pattern,and the effects of drought,ABA,or drought plus ABA biosynthetic inhibitor naproxen on the expression of peanut FERONIA receptor-like kinase gene family were analyzed,which lays a foundation for elucidating the function of peanut FERONIA receptor kinase gene family.The main results were as follows:1.Eight Ad FER genes were identified in diploid peanut species Arachis duranensis,six Ai FER genes were identified in diploid species Arachis.ipaensis,and eighteen AhFER genes were characterized in tetraploid peanut Arachis.hypogaea.According to the analysis of gene structure and conservative sequence of amino acids,the amino acid sequence of FERs is highly conserved and can be classified into three subfamilies.The FER genes of subfamily Ⅰ and Ⅱ have no introns,and some genes of subfamily Ⅲ contain introns.Peanut FER genes were irregularly distributed on chromosomes.2.There are two main expression patterns of AhFER genes family:(1)Ten AhFER genes such as AhFER1 A,AhFER1 B and AhFER4-1A are ubiquitously expressed in all detected tissues.(2)eight AhFER genes such as AhFER5-1A,AhFER5-1B,and AhFER10-2A are expressed in some tissues and organs.3.After drought stress,tetraploid cultivation grows peanuts,six AhFER genes were up-regulated and tweleve AhFER genes were down-regulated in leaf.In root,seventeen AhFER genes were up-regulated,and AhFER1 A was not affected by drought stress.4.ABA can promote and degrade AhFERs expression.In leaf,three AhFERs were promoted by exogenous ABA treatment,and fifteen AhFERs expression was inhibited by exogenous ABA treatment.In root,seventeen AhFERs were enhanced by exogenous ABA treatment,and only AhFER1 A was not affected by ABA treatment.5.The results of drought stress plus naproxen treatment showed that AhFERs were regulated the expression by drought stress through ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways.In leaf,AhFER5-1A and AhFER10-2A were up-regulated by drought stress through ABA-independent pathway;AhFER1 A and AhFER10-1A were up-regulated through both ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways;AhFER4-1A,AhFER4-1B,AhFER4-2,AhFER4-4,AhFER5-2A,AhFER5-2B,AhFER10-1B,AhFER10-2B and AhFER10-3A were down-regulated through ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways;AhFER5-1B is up-regulated and down-regulated through ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways;AhFER1 B,AhFER4-3 and AhFER10-4 were down-regulated and up-regulated through ABA-dependent and ABA-independent.In root,AhFER1 B,AhFER4-4,AhFER5-1B,AhFER10-2A,AhFER10-2B,AhFER10-3B,and AhFER10-4 were up-regulated through ABA-dependent and ABA-independent pathways;AhFER4-1A,AhFER4-1B,AhFER4-2,AhFER4-3,AhFER5-1A,AhFER5-2A,AhFER5-2B,AhFER10-1A,AhFER10-1B and AhFER10-3A were up-regulated through ABA-dependent pathways and down-regulated through ABA-independent pathways.
