| Dodonaea viscosa is a shrub of Dodonaea in Sapindaceae.It is widely distributed in coastal zones and bedrock islands in Fujian.It is an important native tree species in Fujian islands and coastal areas.The Dodonaea viscosa shrubland in the islands of Fujian Province was taken as the research object,and the community survey was carried out by using the sample method,and the leaf functional traits of Dodonaea viscosa were determined.The species composition,floristic geographical composition,community type and species diversity of Dodonaea viscosa shrub community were discussed by means of systematic clustering,canonical correspondence analysis,redundancy analysis,grey correlation analysis and one-way analysis of variance.The effects of environmental factors on community characteristics and leaf functional traits were analyzed,and the plants that could be combined with Dodonaea viscosa were evaluated and selected.The structure and dynamic characteristics of Dodonaea viscosa population in different islands were analyzed by population dynamic change index,static life table,survival curve and survival function.The research can provide scientific theoretical basis for the protection and utilization of Dodonaea viscosa plant resources,provide suggestions for the stability and ecological restoration of coastal and island ecosystems in Fujian,and provide reference for the application of Dodonaea viscosa in landscaping in Fujian.The results are as follows :(1)The species composition of Dodonaea viscosa shrub community was diverse.A total of 255 species of plants belonging to 213 genera and82 families were investigated.Single-species families and single-species genera accounted for a large proportion.The dominant families were Compositae,Gramineae,Papilionaceae,Euphorbiaceae,and the dominant genus was Solanum.The Dodonaea viscosa shrub community has obvious tropical attributes,and the ratio of tropical distribution families and genera to temperate distribution families and genera(R/T value)is6.29 and 2.03.(2)Canonical correspondence analysis showed that the composition and distribution of species in Dodonaea viscosa shrub communities were affected by mean annual temperature,solar radiation,total phosphorus,distance from coastline,distance from residential areas,available potassium and total water-soluble salt,which caused changes in the geographical composition of flora from north to south,and also led to different community types in Dodonaea viscosa shrub communities,thus17 formations and 21 associations were divided.(3)The diversity index of Dodonaea viscosa shrub community was quite different among 60 quadrats.The main environmental factors causing the difference were wind speed,mean annual precipitation,mean annual temperature,and soil p H value.Wind speed was positively correlated with herb layer diversity and negatively correlated with shrub layer diversity.The mean annual precipitation was positively correlated with shrub and grass species diversity.The mean annual temperature,and soil p H were negatively correlated with shrub and grass species diversity.(4)The average height and crown width of Dodonaea viscosa population on Fuying Island were higher than those on Haitan Island and Dongshan Island.According to the population dynamic change index,the Dodonaea viscosa population of the three islands has certain anti-interference ability,and the Dodonaea viscosa population of Dongshan Island has stronger anti-interference ability than the Dodonaea viscosa population of Fuying Island and Haitan Island.Through the age structure and survival curve of the population,it can be seen that the Dodonaea viscosa population of Fuying Island is a stable population,and the Dodonaea viscosa population of Haitan Island and Dongshan Island is a growth population,but there are few seedlings in the three islands.(5)The coefficient of variation of Dodonaea viscosa leaf functional traits ranged from 3.17% to 43.29%,with the smallest variation in leaf carbon content(3.17%)and the largest variation in leaf phosphorus content(43.29%).Altitude,total potassium,total phosphorus,wind speed,and distance from the coastline are the main environmental factors affecting the functional traits of Dodonaea viscosa leaves on islands in Fujian.Dodonaea viscosa leaves form the best shape combination by regulating different traits to adapt to the harsh environment of island winds and droughts.(6)Grey relational analysis was used to evaluate the dominant species in Dodonaea viscosa shrub community.The results showed that there were 5 shrubs and 4 herbs with high correlation with the ideal species.The 5 shrubs were Dodonaea viscosa,Lantana camara,Rosa bracteata,Sageretia thea,Eurya emarginata,and the 4 herbs were Setaria viridis,Imperata cylindrica,Miscanthus sinensis,Eragrostis pilosa.Dodonaea viscosa can adapt to the harsh environment of the island through the variation and combination of leaf traits,and become the dominant species in the island vegetation community,and the population stability of the dominant species plays an important role in the community stability.Therefore,attention should be paid to the natural regeneration of Dodonaea viscosa in the island.At the same time,when using Dodonaea viscosa for ecological restoration and landscape construction,it should be noted that it should not be planted too densely,and it needs to be matched with some other native tree species.The specific plant configuration mode and application suggestions are as follows : Dodonaea viscosa + Rosa bracteata + Sageretia thea + Eurya emarginata-Setaria viridis + Imperata cylindrica + Miscanthus sinensis,this configuration mode can be applied to the middle-level species supplement of coastal and island shelterbelts or the ecological restoration of rocky coastal slopes.Dodonaea visicosa + Gardenia jasminoides-Setaria viridis,Dodonaea visicosa + Rhodomyrtus tomentosa-Imperata cylindrica,these two configuration modes can be used as hedges on both sides of the road or planted at the edge of the forest in the urban park. |
