In Algeria,aquaculture has been identified as a key economic sector and a center of employment.Various policies,programs and initiatives have been developed and implemented to assist in the development of the aquaculture sector.Some of the key initiatives include a specific strategy to develop aquaculture and the Economic Recovery Program also has enhanced the development of aquaculture.The main objective of the various policies,programs and initiatives is to accelerate the growth of the aquaculture industry,enabling it to play a vital role in the supply of aquaculture products both locally and internationally,improving the job creation and contributing to the national economy,among others.Aspects.The sector has also been identified as a key industry that can have an impact on the development and reindustrialisation of rural communities and communes in Algeria.Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing food sectors in the world;however,the Algerian aquaculture sector remains small and underdeveloped despite the high growth potential offered by the sector.In recent years,Algeria has benefited from access to aquaculture technology,an increasing amount of research and development,as well as government support from several key government departments.Coupled with the growing support and interest of the Algerian aquaculture industry,it is possible to overcome some key challenges facing the industry that are hampering its development.These challenges include access to appropriate production areas,production challenges,market access and the need to develop the value chain.This review focuses specifically on the Assessing the potential in successfully farming rainbow trout in the northern of Algeria.Rainbow trout,is the endemic fish of North America,which is a thriving farmed species,has been around the world by transferring eggs around the world.Nowadays,the 25% share of total production of farmed salmonids(2.3 million)belong to this species and affect a significant portion of the global diet safety,spread of consumption and increase in per capita fish consumption in the world.Even if it is not in the highest consumption range,but 69 countries around the world grow it.At the moment,the value of the transaction of this type of fish in the the frozen,fresh and live fish was reached a billion dollars which is important of the investment in this landmark culture.Given the climatic and hydrological situation of northern Algeria,we notice the presence of certain qualities which are essential for the success of the breeding of rainbow trout,on the climatic side the northern Algerian can provide between six to eight months(from the end of September until the beginning of May)a cool climate with temperatures that do not exceed 20 degrees during the day,same thing for the hydrological situation of which the north of Algeria knows a presence of water sufficient and of acceptable quality in comparison with the basic physicochemical characteristics for the breeding of trout.all these criteria give motivating results for successful trout farming.
