| ObjectiveIn this experiment,the PEEK-naringenin composite was prepared by dip-coating on the surface of poly-ether-ether-ketone(PEEK)with naringenin coating.The composite was characterized using SEM,EDS,bond strength,hydrophilicity and other tests.The in vitro biological properties and antibacterial properties were studied to provide an experimental basis for the application of the composite in the direction of oral implantation.Methods1 PEEK-Naringenin composites were fabricated by dip coating on PEEK surface.The coating was characterized by SEM,EDS,bond strength and hydrophilicity testing.2 The proliferation of L929 cells on the PEEK-naringenin composite was detected by CCK-8 method to evaluate the cytotoxicity of the material.The adhesion of MC3T3-E1 cells on PEEK-naringin composite was observed by inverted fluorescence microscopy,the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells on PEEK-naringin composite was detected by CCK-8 method,and the differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells was detected by alkaline phosphatase assay to evaluate the bone-enabling effect of the composite.3 The inhibition rate of PEEK-naringenin composite against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli was examined by plate count method,and the inhibition circle assay was performed to investigate the inhibition performance of the composite.Results1 The naringin coating was successfully prepared on the surface of PEEK material by dip coating method to obtain PEEK-naringin composite.2 The naringin coating is more uniformly distributed;the bonding strength between naringin coating and PEEK material is high,which meets the requirements of surgical implantation;the wettability is good,which is conducive to the adhesion of cells.3 PEEK-naringenin composites are not cytotoxic and can meet the cytotoxicity requirements of bone implant materials;the materials can promote the adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells and have the potential to promote osteogenesis.4 PEEK-naringenin composites inhibited the growth of both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.ConclusionIn this study,naringin coating was successfully prepared on the surface of PEEK material by dip-coating method,and the obtained PEEK-naringin composite is non-cytotoxic and has good osteotropic effect,and also has some antibacterial effect. |
