Objective: In this study, the cervical functional exercise device was used to improve the symptoms of cervical pain, cervical dysfunction and cervical mobility in patients with cervical spondulicks, providing objective evidence for the clinical application and promotion of cervical functional exercise device. Methods: Sixty patients diagnosed as cervical spondulicks in the outpatient department of Bone Injury Hospital affiliated to Xingu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 30 cases in each group. Both control group and observation group received daily health education before treatment. The control group was treated with conventional treatment regimen(traction therapy combined with traditional Chinese medicine ointment ironing treatment),and the observation group was treated with cervical functional exercise device based on the treatment regimen of the control group, and the course of treatment was 14 days. Before and after treatment, pain Visual Analogue Score(VAS score),Neck Disability Index(NDI score),cervical joint range of motion(flexion, extension, left rotation, right rotation, left flexion, right flexion)were assessed and measured. Results: 1.VAS score: compared with the control group, there was significant difference in VAS score before and after treatment(P < 0.001);There were significant differences in VAS scores before and after treatment in the observation group(P < 0.001);There was significant difference in VAS score between the control group and the observation group after treatment(P < 0.001).2.Compared with the control group, there was significant difference in NDI scores before and after treatment(P < 0.001);There were significant differences in NDI scores before and after treatment in the observation group(P < 0.001);There was significant difference in NDI score between the control group and the observation group after treatment(P < 0.001).3.Compared with the control group, there was significant difference in the range of motion of cervical spine joint(flexion, extension, left rotation, right rotation, left flexion and right flexion)before and after treatment(P < 0.001);In the observation group, there was significant difference in the range of motion of cervical spine joint(flexion, extension, left rotation, right rotation, left flexion and right flexion)before and after treatment(P < 0.001);After treatment, there was significant difference in the range of motion of cervical joint(flexion, extension, left rotation, right rotation, left flexion and right flexion)between the control group and the observation group(P < 0.001).Conclusion:Cervical functional exerciser combined with conventional treatment(traction treatment combined with traditional Chinese medicine ointment ironing treatment)and conventional treatment were effective in improving patients’ pain, dysfunction and range of motion of cervical joints, but the combined treatment was better and improved clinical treatment effect. At the same time, the device has the characteristics of uniform resistance force and sufficient resistance strength, which has the value of popularization in clinical practice.
