Objective: To collect the TCM Constitution distribution types and general data of patients with incision complication after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fracture.By analyzing the biased TCM Constitution distribution of patients with incision complication after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fracture,to explore the influencing factors of incision complications and TCM Constitution distribution law and correlation of the patients,to provide a theoretical basis for preventing postoperative incision complications, regulating and administering drugs according to constitution. Methods: according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, patients with incision complication after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fracture in the Orthopaedic department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of traditional Chinese medicine from October 2019 to December 2021 were selected and divided into incision infection group, incision delayed healing group, incision continuous exudation group and incision swelling group,In addition,100 patients with limb fracture who underwent open reduction and internal fixation without incision complications were randomly selected as the control group.Collect the general information of patients, such as gender, age, smoking history, diabetes and hypertension, and the subjects filled in the questionnaire of TCM constitution classification and judgment form, evaluated the patients’ TCM constitution classification, obtained the patients’ clear constitution type, and analyzed the relationship between various incision complications and TCM constitution type.SPSS 25.0 software for statistical analysis of statistical data.Results:1.A total of 532 patients were selected in this study, including 100 cases in the control group,78 cases in the incision infection group,101 cases in the incision delayed healing group,122 cases in the incision continuous exudation group and 131 cases in the incision swelling group. The results showed that incision infection after limb fracture open reduction and internal fixation was related to gender, age, body mass index(BMI),smoking, limb distribution, diabetes mellitus and operation time(P<0.05).Among them,age≥60 years old, smoking, lower limb fracture, diabetes mellitus,Operation time>2 hours was an independent risk factor for incision infection after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fractures, but there was no significant difference in hypertension and intraoperative blood loss(P>0.05).Incision delayed healing after open reduction and internal fixation for fracture of limbs was related to gender, age,BMI,smoking, limb distribution, diabetes mellitus and operation time(P<0.05).Gender,age≥60 years, smoking, lower limb fracture, diabetes mellitus, and operation time>2 hours were independent risk factors. However, there was no significant difference in hypertension and intraoperative blood loss(P>0.05).There was a correlation between BMI,limb distribution, diabetes mellitus, operation time and incision continuous exudation after open reduction and internal fixation of limbs(P<0.05),but not independent risk factors, and no significant difference in gender, age, smoking, hypertension and intraoperative blood loss(P>0.05).There was a significant relationship between the incision swelling after open reduction and internal fixation of the limbs fracture and age, limb distribution and operation time(P<0.05).Age≥60 was independent risk factor. There was no significant difference in gender,BMI,smoking, diabetes, hypertension and intraoperative blood loss(P>0.05).2.Chi square test showed that there was a significant correlation between TCM Constitution and incision infection, delayed wound healing and incision swelling(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the distribution of patients with continuous incision exudation(P>0.05).The highest proportion of biased constitution in incision infection group was Qi deficiency constitution and blood stasis constitution, which were37.19% and 21.79% respectively; In the delayed wound healing group, patients with Qi deficiency constitution accounted for 42.57%,which was significantly higher than other TCM constitution types;Phlegm dampness constitution is the constitution type with the highest proportion in the incision swelling group, which is 40.46%.Logistic regression analysis showed that Qi deficiency constitution was an independent risk factor for incision infection and delayed wound healing, and phlegm dampness was an independent risk factor for incision swelling.Conclusions:1.There was a significant correlation between gender, age,BMI,smoking, limb distribution, operation time, diabetes mellitus and incision infection after open reduction and internal fixation for limb fractures.Among them,age≥60 years, smoking, lower limb fracture, operation time>2 hours, and diabetes mellitus were independent risk factors.2.There was a significant correlation between gender, age,BMI,smoking, limb distribution, operation time, diabetes mellitus and delayed healing of incision.Gender,age≥60 years, smoking, lower limb fracture, operation time>2 hours, and diabetes mellitus were independent risk factors.3.There was a significant correlation between BMI,limb distribution, operation time, diabetes mellitus and incision continuous exudation after open reduction and internal fixation for limb fractures.4.Age,distribution of affected limbs and operation time were significantly correlated with incision swelling after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fractures, among which age≥60 years old was an independent risk factor.5.There was a significant correlation between the distribution of TCM Constitution types and incision infection, delayed incision healing and incision swelling after open reduction and internal fixation of limb fractures.Qi deficiency constitution is an independent risk factor for incision infection and delayed incision healing, and phlegm dampness constitution is an independent risk factor for incision swelling. This study has not found a significant correlation between the distribution of TCM Constitution types and the continuous exudation of incision.
