| Objective: To observe the clinical effect of percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)combined with Sanhai Zhuangyao pill in the treatment of Kummell’s disease.Methods: A total of 60 patients with Kummell’s disease who met the diagnosis and inclusion criteria of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the spinal department of Beihai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to February 2022 were collected and randomly divided into treatment group(n=30 cases)and control group(n=30 cases).All patients were treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP),and received traditional bed rest,bracing,analgesia,anti-osteoporosis,anti-infection and other symptomatic treatments before and after surgery.On the basis of the control group,the treatment group began to take sanhai Zhuangyao pill orally on the 1st day after operation.By means of two groups of patients for more than six months of outpatient service and telephone follow-up,record and analysis of two groups of PVP in patients with preoperative and postoperative2 days,1 month,6 months the visual analog pain score(VAS score),Oswestry disability index(ODI),after the wounded vertebral frontal height ratio,vertebral convex Cobb Angle and level of bone mineral density,To evaluate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous vertebroplasty combined with Sanhai Zhuangyao pill in the treatment of Kummell’s disease.Results: There was no significant difference in baseline data between the two groups(P > 0.05),indicating comparability.VAS scores of 2 groups were significantly different from those before surgery on the 2nd day,1 month and6 months after surgery(P < 0.05).Comparison of VAS scores between the two groups at 1 and 6 months after surgery showed that the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).ODI index of 2 groups was statistically significant compared with that before surgery on the 2nd day,1 month and 6 months after surgery(P < 0.05).The comparison of ODI index between the two groups at 1 and 6 months after surgery showed that the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).The kyphotic Cobb Angle of 2groups was significantly different from that before surgery on the 2nd day,1month and 6 months after surgery(P < 0.05).The comparison of kyphotic Cobb Angle between the two groups 6 months after surgery showed that the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).The ratio of anterior height of injured vertebrae in 2 groups was significantly different from that before surgery(P < 0.05)on postoperative day 2,postoperative month 1 and postoperative month 6.The ratio of anterior height of injured vertebrae between the two groups at 6 months after surgery,the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in bone mineral density between 2 groups 6 months after surgery and before surgery(P > 0.05).The BMD levels of the two groups were compared 6months after surgery,the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions: For Kummell’s disease using percutaneous vertebral plasty combined three sea strong waist pill treatment,not only can relieve lower back pain,improve the level of the body’s bone density,protrusion deformity after restore vertebral body height and the correct ways and curative effect is distinct,beneficial to improving patient spinal dysfunction,improve the quality of life,is worth further promotion and application in clinical. |
