purpose:The accuracy of IOL Master 700 in clinical application was observed and analyzed by comparing the results of biological measurement and calculated IOL degree with IOL Master 500 in patients with axial myopia complicated with cataract.methods:A prospective study was conducted to collect patients with axonal myopia(AMM)who were seen in our ophthalmology department from May to November2021,with an eye axis > 24.00 mm and 50 cases(67 eyes),and to measure the ocular biometric axis(AL),corneal curvature(K1,K2),anterior chamber depth(ACD),using IOL Master 700 and IOL Master 500,respectively.Group A was divided into four groups by eye axis length: Group A 15 eyes,Group B 13 eyes,Group C 11 eyes, and Group D 20 eyes(Group A: 24 mm < AL ≤ 26mm;Group B: 26 mm < AL ≤28mm;Group C: 28 mm < AL ≤ 30mm;Group D: 30 mm < AL).The difference between target and actual refractive size was measured 1 week after surgery,2 weeks after surgery, and 1 month after surgery, using rank and test comparison.results:1.IOL Master 700 and IOL Master 500 had the AL detection rates of 97.01%and 88.06%,respectively.2.There was no statistically significant difference between AL,K1,K2,and ACD values obtained from subjects in groups A,B,C,and D measured using the IOL Master 700 and IOL Master 500,except for a statistically significant difference between instrument measurements in group C(p = 0.007)and parameters in each group(P > 0.05).The Bland-Altman analysis of AL,K1,K2,and ACD values measured by both instruments was satisfactory.3.At different postoperative times, the mean mean difference in predicted refractive index(MAE)of IOL Master 700 was less than that of IOL Master 500 in patients with different ocular axes, and the MAE of predicted refractive index was greater than that of IOL Master 500 in two instruments,Group B,Group C and Group D.Percentage of predicted refractive difference < 0.25 D,IOL Master 700 ≥ IOL Master 500,and percentage of predicted refractive difference > 1.00 D and between0.50-1.00 D,IOL Master 700 < IOL Master 500.4,1 week after surgery, the difference in predicted refractive difference between the two instruments was statistically significant for all eyes affected(p = 0.004),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant between groups D and A,and between groups D and B(p = 0.005,0.039).The difference in the predicted refractive difference was not statistically significant between the two instruments except for the C group at each time period and the D group at 1 week,2weeks and 1 month after operation.conclusion:1.the IOL Master 700 has a higher detection rate of AL than the IOL Master 500.2.The difference between the two instruments in the preoperative measurements of AL,ACD,K1 and K2 parameters is small and consistent.3.The difference between the absolute value of the predicted refractive difference in the IOL Master 700 and the absolute value of the predicted refractive difference in the IOL Master 500 will vary depending on the eye axis. When the eye axis was greater than 30 mm,the difference was greater than between AL > 24 ~ ≤ 26 mm and AL > 26 ~ ≤ 28 mm groups, the difference was significant.4.The IOL Master 700 was more accurate than the IOL Master 500 in the calculation of the IOL lens degree for cataract patients with an axis longer than 30mm...
