Objective:The pathogenesis of thyroid-related eye disease has not been clarified, and through the analysis of magnetic resonance images of patients with thyroid-related eye disease before and after receiving radiation therapy, the clinical efficacy of radiation therapy as a treatment method is explored, which provides a reference for clinical treatment. Methods:From September 2019 to January 2021,101 TAO patients who were admitted to the Head and Neck Oncology Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and received complete radiotherapy were selected as research subjects, and all the patients enrolled in the group were binocular diseases.Collect basic patient data, imaging tests, and clinical serological indicators.Image J software was used to analyze the magnetic resonance images obtained by the patient before and after radiation therapy, and the volume and total volume of adipose tissue in the orbit were measured. The effect of radiation therapy on thyroid-related eye diseases was discussed by combining the changes in the volume of orbital tissue before and after the patient received radiation therapy, combined with the collected serological index data.Results:1 According to the measured data analysis, there was a significant difference in the difference between the volume of other orbital tissues and the total volume before and after treatment.About 52.48% of patients had a decrease in total orbit volume after receiving radiation therapy.2 The patient’s eye prominence and medial fat thickness did not change significantly before and after radiation therapy.3 80.8% of patients had higher TRAb levels than in the normal range before receiving treatment. After treatment,71.9% still did not return to normal levels. Conclusion:Tao patients received radiation therapy with a decrease in total orbit volume, confirming that radiation therapy had a remission of ocular herniation.Clinically, radiation therapy plays a role in alleviating TAO eye symptoms.
