Objective:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of cognitive impairment in patients with first-episode depression in detail and dialectically.Furthermore, the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy combined with antidepressant therapy on depressive symptoms and cognitive function of first-episode depression patients were further studied. Methods:This study was dvided to two parts. In the first part,35 patients with first-episode depression were selected as subjects and 35 normal healthy subjects as controls. The two groups of subjects were tested by using neuropsychological assessment tools such as Stroop test,Continuous Operation Test(CPT)and Wechsler memory Test(WMS).To analyze the characteristics of cognitive impairment in patients with first-episode depression. In the second part,35 patients with first-episode depression were treated with cognitive behavioral therapy combined with antidepressant escitalopram oxalate for 8weeks.Before and after treatment, the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)was used to test the depressive symptoms of patients with first-episode depression, and neuropsychological assessment tools were used to evaluate the cognitive function of patients with first-episode depression. The results were analyzed by statistical software SPSS26.0.To explore the effect of cognitive therapy on the cognitive dysfunction of patients with first-episode depression.Results:1.The results of CPT in the study group were higher than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05).2.Compared with the healthy control group, the scores of short-term memory, memory quotient, instantaneous memory and long-term memory in the study group were significantly lower(P<0.05).3.Compared with the healthy control group, the WT time,CT time,WT-2 time and CWT time in the study group were significantly longer(P<0.05).4.Compared with before treatment,HAMD score of patients with first-episode depression was significantly lower after treatment(P<0.05),and after cognitive behavioral therapy,CPT measurement results,short-term memory, memory quotient, instantaneous memory,long-term memory,WT-time,CT-time,WT-2-time and CWT time were improved.Conclusion:1.Patients with first-episode depression do have extensive cognitive dysfunction, which is mainly manifested in executive dysfunction, attention disorder and memory disorder. After the relief of depressive symptoms, the cognitive function of patients has improved, but it is still not completely improved compared with the normal control group.2.Antidepressant therapy combined with cognitive behavioral therapy can not only relieve the depressive symptoms of patients with first-episode depression, but also improve their cognitive function.
