Correlation Analysis Between Body Composition And Objective Indexes In Girls With Idiopathic Central Precocious Puberty Of Phlegm Dampness Stagnation Type

Objective:To explore the correlation between body composition data a nd objective indexes such as bone age,thyroid function,gynecological co lor Doppler ultrasound and sex hormone level in girls with ICPP of phlegm dampness stagnation type,so as to provide reference for clinical preven tion and treatment of children’s precocious puberty.Methods:Following the standards,60 cases of phlegm dampness stagnat ion type ICPP girls who met the diagnostic criteria of western medicine a nd traditional Chinese medicine from December 2021 to December 2022 in th e out-patient clinic and ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Univ ersity of TCM were collected.The case information collection form was fi lled out and the body composition was analyzed.The general information a nd clinical characteristics of the children were collected.The data of b ody composition,bone age,thyroid function,gynecological color ultrasou nd,sex hormone level,and other objective indexes were recorded.The dat abase was established and input and SPSS25.0 software was used for statis tical analysis.Results:1.A total of 60 cases of ICPP girls with phlegm-dampness st agnation were collected.Among them,52 cases showed breast development b efore 8 years old,and 8 cases showed menorrhagia before 10 years old.Th e average age of visiting doctor was 8.63±0.91 years old,age ranged f rom 10.6 years to 5.3 years,and 26（43.3%）were normal,12（20%）were over weight,and 22（36.7%）were severely overweight.2.Body fat rate:26 cases（43.3%）were normal,18 cases（30%）were m ild obesity,16 cases（26.7%）were obesity,56 cases needed to reduce fat content.3.Correlation analysis showed that BMI was positively correlated wit h LH,E₂,T,uterine volume,BA,BA-CA and TSH.Body fat content was posi tively correlated with LH,E₂,T,uterine volume,BA,BA-CA,and negative ly correlated with FT₄.There was a positive correlation between body fat percentage and E₂,BA.There was a positive correlation between obesity degree and LH,T and BA.4.There were significant differences in T,uterine volume,BA,FT₃ b etween normal weight group and overweight and obesity group according to BMI（P<0.05）,but there were no significant differences in other objec tive indexes（P>0.05）.Conclusion:The proportion of menstruation in ICPP girls with phlegm-dampness stagnation was higher,the age span of visiting doctor was longe r,and the proportion of obese children was higher.The body composition was positively correlated with the level of sexual hormone,color Doppler ultrasound,and bone age,obesity can lead to an increase in sex hormone levels,an increase of uterine volume,advanced bone age,and hypothyroi dism in girls with ICPP.
