Objective: To study the efficacy and safety of Zishui Qinggan Decoction in the treatment of migraine patients with kidney deficiency and liver hyperactivity,to enrich the theoretical basis for the treatment of migraine with traditional Chinese medicine,to give full play to the advantages of TCM in treating migraine, and to open up new thinkings and new prospects for the treatment of migraine. Methods: 66 patients with migraine who visited the Department of Encephalopathy of Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2021 to September 2022,with TCM evidence conforming to the type of kidney deficiency and liver hyperactivity, were selected for clinical efficacy observation.33 patients in each group were divided into treatment and control groups according to the random number table method, and the control group was given flunarizine hydrochloride capsule, and the treatment group was given Zishui Qinggan Decoction on the basis of the control group, and all patients took the medicine for 4 weeks. The clinical symptom score, visual analogue pain score(VAS),Chinese medicine symptom score and migraine-specific quality of life score(MSQOL)of migraine were recorded before and after 4 weeks of treatment. The data were analyzed and processed by SPSS26.0 statistical software after statistical collation. Results: The treatment and control groups were consistent at baseline, with no statistically significant differences in age, gender, and course of disease(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the clinical symptom scores of both the treatment group and the control group decreased, which was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group when compared with each other(P<0.01).There was no statistical difference before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the comparison between and within groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Chinese medicine evidence points: before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the control group in the analysis comparison(P>0.05),which could be compared. After 4 weeks of treatment, the TCM evidence points of both the treatment group and the control group were lower than before, with statistical significance(P<0.01),and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group.MSQOL score: the two groups were comparable before treatment, with no statistical difference(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the comparison between and within groups possessed statistical significance(P<0.01).After4 weeks of treatment, the clinical efficacy of Western medicine was compared, and 2 cases(6.06%)were clinically cured,10 cases(30.30%)were apparently effective,13 cases(39.39%)were effective, and 8 cases(24.24%)were ineffective in the control group;5 cases(15.15%)were clinically cured,16cases(48.48%)were apparently effective,10 cases(30.30%)were effective, and 2 cases(6.06%)were ineffective in the treatment group. The overall effective rate of the control group was 75.76%,and the overall effective rate of the treatment group was 93.94%,which was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with the Chinese medicine efficacy of the two groups,0cases(0%)were clinically cured,3 cases(9.09%)were apparently effective,17 cases(51.52%)were effective, and 13 cases(39.39%)were ineffective in the control group;in the treatment group,0 cases(0%)were clinically In the treatment group,0 cases were cured(0%),15 cases were effective(45.45%),17 cases were effective(51.52%),and 1 case was ineffective(3.03%).The overall effective rate of Chinese medicine in the control group was 60.61%,and the overall effective rate of Chinese medicine in the treatment group was96.97%,which was statistically significant(P<0.01)when comparing the two groups. One patient in the control group presented mild symptoms of drowsiness during the study, which later resolved spontaneously on its own and had no significant effect on this study, and there was no significant change in safety indexes before and after treatment in both groups. Conclusion: The treatment of migraine(kidney deficiency and liver hyperactivity type)with Zishui Qinggan Decoction is effective and has a good safety profile.
