| Objective:To explore the effect of mass tambourine intervention on post-stroke depression and quality of life of the elderly in nursing institutions, and to improve their depressive symptoms and quality of life, the influencing factors of post-stroke depression and the quality of life of the elderly in nursing institutions were investigated cross-sectionally.Methods:(1)From December 2021 to October 2022,253 elderly people after stroke in two pension institutions in Qinzhou City were selected as the subjects of this study. After the informed consent of the patients, the group members were given questionnaires, and the data of patients were collected and analyzed by using the general survey data form,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD-17)and stroke specific quality of life scale(SS-QOI).(2)According To the results of the baseline survey in the nursing home,78 cases were selected from 123 elderly patients with post-stroke depression in the nursing home, and randomly divided into control group(n=39)and intervention group(n=39),which received mass tambourine intervention for two weeks, three times a week,30 minutes each time.Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-17)and Quality of Life Scale(SS-QOL)were used to evaluate the patients after intervention.①Comparison of data between groups:Normality test was used to test the measurement data, and two independent samples t test was used to analyze the data with consistent normal distribution and uniform variance.②Nonparametric rank sum test was applied to test the data with non-normal distribution;③Chi-square test was used to test the unordered multi-class data.④Before and after comparison within groups:Two-paired sample t test was used to test the data which were consistent with normal distribution and had uniform variance, and non-parametric sum test was used to test the data which were non-normal distribution. Results:Compared with the general data of the two groups, there was no significant difference in age, gender, education level and other aspects, and the difference was not statistically significant,P>0.05;the HAMD score of the two groups before treatment was compared with P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant;the HAMD score after two weeks of intervention in the two groups decreased significantly compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05,and both had a decreasing trend;the HAMD score after two weeks of intervention in the intervention group was significantly different from that of the control group. Both were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),the difference between the SS-QOL scores before intervention was not statistically significant,P>0.05,and the SS-QOL scores of the two groups after two weeks of intervention increased significantly compared with before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant,P<0.05,and both had a decreasing trend;the SS-QOL scores of the intervention group after two weeks of intervention were significantly different from those in the control group, and both were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The main results were as follows:(1)The incidence of post-stroke depression in the elderly in nursing homes was high. The morbidity of post-stroke depression was mainly affected by many factors, such as self-care status, complicated chronic diseases, burden of medical costs, drinking, insomnia, daily living habits, life satisfaction in nursing homes and family care. The more severe the depressive symptoms, the worse the quality of life.(2)In this study, group tambourine intervention on elderly post-stroke depression in pension institutions can improve their sense of participation in life, improve their emotions, increase their sense of belonging and improve their quality of life, which has a positive practical significance for improving their health and quality of life. Moreover, group hand drum is a relatively simple, feasible and effective nursing intervention method, which can be popularized in pension institutions. |
