Empirical Investigation And Strategies On The Educational Function Of Medical Students’ Voluntary Service In Liaoning Province

Voluntary service is the main channel for medical students to practice the mass line,devote themselves to social service and contribute to grass-roots construction.It is also an important way for medical colleges and universities to carry out ideological and political education and professional skill education for medical students.As a means of practical education,medical students’ voluntary service provides important support for colleges and universities to implement the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people.By using the methods of questionnaire and interview,this paper investigates the current situation of voluntary service education function of medical students in five medical colleges in Liaoning Province,summarizes the achievements,finds out the problems and analyzes the causes;Reasonably use the case analysis method,learn from the advanced educational concept of voluntary service in some medical colleges and universities in the province and the experience of curriculum construction of voluntary service in Colleges and universities outside the province,and put forward the implementation path of continuously giving full play to the educational function of medical students’ voluntary service,so as to provide reference for similar domestic colleges and universities to tap the educational function of voluntary service.This paper consists of the following four parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounds the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and innovation of the paper.The second part is an overview of medical students’ voluntary service,which defines the related concepts of medical students’ voluntary service and educational function,discusses the theoretical basis and ideological origin of the research,and summarizes the development process and characteristics of medical students’ voluntary service after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.The third part is the current situation of the educational function of medical students’ voluntary service in Liaoning Province.Through the questionnaire survey of 912 medical students from five medical colleges in Liaoning Province,and the in-depth interview with the educational managers and the heads of voluntary service organizations in Colleges and universities,this paper summarizes the achievements and existing problems of medical students’ voluntary service in developing the educational function,and analyzes the causes of the problems from multiple angles.The fourth part is the countermeasures to enhance the educational function of medical students’ voluntary service.Starting from the three dimensions of school,family and society,the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to give long-term play to the educational function of medical students’ voluntary service and promote the high-quality development of medical students’ voluntary service.
