| Biased attention to sleep-related stimuli is considered one of the characteristics of insomnia. At present, digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia is very important to improve the cognitive process and sleep quality of people with insomnia. However,it remains to be shown whether people with insomnia exhibit attentional bias toward sleep-related images, the components of potentially biased attention, and the effects of digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia on attentional bias and sleep quality in people with insomnia compared to normal sleeping participants.Study 1 aims to explore whether people with insomnia show attention bias to sleep-related stimulus pictures and the components of this attention bias compared with those with normal sleep.Participants who meet the inclusion criteria are screened out through questionnaires.52 participants with insomnia and 56 participants with normal sleep are given point detection tasks. The comprehensive analysis showed that compared with normal sleep participants, people with insomnia showed an attention bias to sleep-related pictures, and the component of this biased attention was the attention alert to sleep-related pictures.Study 2 was designed to investigate whether digital cognitive behavioral therapy significantly improved sleep quality and attentional bias in people with insomnia. At baseline, all participants were measured using the same questionnaire screening and dot-probing tasks as in Study 1.A control study was conducted on 42 insomnia participants who received digital cognitive behavioral therapy and 25 insomnia participants who received traditional educational intervention and received corresponding intervention training. At the end of the intervention, both groups completed a post-test,which included the same point-detection tasks and questionnaires as the baseline.Repeated measure ANOVA showed that after 3 weeks of intervention, the attention bias and attention vigilance scores of insomnia subjects in the digital cognitive behavioral therapy intervention group were significantly reduced, and the sleep quality of insomnia subjects was significantly improved.Insomnia participants in the traditional education intervention group also experienced a decline in sleep quality.Through two studies,it was found that the attention bias to sleep-related cues is a major feature of insomnia people, and attention vigilance is important in the selective attention to sleep-related cues in insomnia people.Digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia can effectively improve attention bias and promote the improvement of sleep quality. |
