Research objectives: Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)belongs to a category of neurodevelopmental disorders. The latest data on children with ASD released by the two sessions in 2022 showed that the incidence of ASD in China was 0.7%,and there were about more than 2 million children with ASD under the age of 14.Autism spectrum disorders not only have a serious impact on children’s physical and mental health, but also have adverse effects on children’s motor development level. Therefore, this study selected children with ASD aged 3-6 years as the research object, and explored the effect of proprioceptive training on the improvement of basic motor skills and autistic behavior of children with ASD by longitudinal comparison of the changes in basic motor skills and autistic behavior before and after the experiment. At the same time, the differences in motor skills,non-motor skills and manipulation skills of children with ASD were analyzed. To analyze the related mechanisms affecting the basic motor skills of children with ASD,and to analyze the related mechanisms affecting the autistic behavior of children with ASD from the perspective of the changes in the basic motor skills of children with ASD,so as to provide a practical basis for improving the basic motor skills and autistic behavior of children with ASD.Methods: A comparative study was conducted.Sixteen children aged 3-6 years were recruited and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 8 children in each group. The differences in basic motor skills(PDMS-2),autism behavioral Traits(ABC)and proprioception(SITS)between the two groups before and after the proprioceptive training intervention were evaluated, and the specific effects of the proprioceptive training program on improving the basic motor skills and autism behavior of children with ASD were analyzed.Correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between proprioceptive function and basic motor skills in children with ASD,and the correlation between basic motor skills and autistic behavior.Based on the results obtained, the related theories of improving basic motor skills and behavior of children with ASD were explored.Findings:1.Comparison of indexes within and between groups before and after the experiment(1)Comparison of basic motor skills before and after the experiment: the total score of basic motor skills in the experimental group was significantly higher than that before the experiment(P < 0.01),and the scores of mobility skills,non-mobility skills and manipulation skills were also significantly higher(P < 0.01).Compared with the control group, the total score of basic motor skills in the experimental group was significantly different(P < 0.01),and the scores of mobile skills and non-mobile skills were significantly different(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in the scores of manipulation skills(P > 0.05).(2)Comparison of autism behavior indexes before and after the experiment: The total score of autism behavior in the experimental group was significantly lower than before(P < 0.01),and the scores of motor part, feeling part and communication part in the experimental group were significantly lower than before(P < 0.05),but the scores of language and self-care part were not significantly lower than before(P > 0.05).Comparison of autism behavior indexes between different groups after the experiment: Compared with the control group, the total score of autism behavior in the experimental group was significantly different(P < 0.01),and the scores of motor part were significantly different(P < 0.01),and the scores of feeling part were significantly different(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of communication, language and self-care part(P > 0.05).2.Correlation analysis between proprioceptive function and basic motor skills There was a significant positive correlation between proprioceptive function and the total score of basic motor skills. It was positively correlated with the scores of mobile skill,non-mobile skill and manipulation skill.3.Correlation analysis between basic motor skills and characteristic behaviors of autism(1)The total score of basic motor skills was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of ASD behavior and the motor component score.(2)The scores of mobility skills were negatively correlated with the total scores of ASD behavior and the scores of motor component.(3)The scores of non-mobility skills were negatively correlated with the total score of ASD behavior and the scores of motor component, and negatively correlated with the scores of language component.Conclusions:1.Compared with conventional training methods, proprioceptive training can significantly improve the basic motor skills of children with ASD,especially the motor skills and non-motor skills.2.After the intervention of proprioceptive training in this experiment, the problem behavior of autistic children was significantly improved, especially in the improvement of motor and sensory aspects.3.Proprioceptive training improves basic motor skills and improves movement disorders in children with ASD by improving the ability to perceive motor functions, adjusting the input weight of multisensory organs, and inducing cortical reorganization.4.The improvement of basic motor skills can not only improve the movement disorders of children with ASD,but also effectively correct the problem behaviors of children with ASD,and improve daily living skills and adaptive behaviors.
