| Objective:To compare the clinical effect between single-port laparoscopic high ligation of sheath process and small incision through inguen in the treatment of pediatric hydrocele,Methods:The clinical data of children with hydrocele and high ligation of sheath process treated in Bethune second Hospital of Jilin University from September 2020 to October 2022 were analyzed retrospectively.According to the different methods of operation,66 children were divided into two groups:single-port laparoscopy repair group(n = 34)and open repair operation group(n = 32).The clinical effects of the two methods were evaluated and compared by comparing the relevant clinical data of the two groups, such as the general data before operation, the cost of hospitalization, the time of operation, the time of hospitalization after operation and the total incidence of postoperative complications. Results:All the children completed the operation successfully, and there was no case of conversion to open repair surgery in the laparoscopic repair group. The two groups of children with unilateral disease were selected,in the preoperative general data(age, side of the disease),there was no statistical difference between the two groups. The hospitalization cost of laparoscopy group [(7960.62 ±610.65)yuan] was significantly higher than that of open repair group [(7161.71 ±820.57)yuan].In terms of operation time, the hospitalization cost of laparoscopy group [25(20 minutes 30)min] was significantly shorter than that of open repair surgery group [35(30)min](p <0.001).In terms of postoperative hospital stay, the postoperative hospital stay in the laparoscopy group [1(1)days] was shorter than that in the open operation group [1(1)days],and the difference was statistically significant(p< 0.05).In the occurrence of postoperative complications, all children were followed up for 6 months. In the laparoscopic repair group, there were 3 cases of scrotal swelling(8.82%),2 cases of incision infection(5.88%)and 1 case of subcutaneous emphysema(2.94%).A total of 6 cases(17.65%)had postoperative complications, while 5 cases(15.63%)in the open repair surgery group had postoperative complications. There were 3 cases of scrotal swelling(9.38%)and 2 cases of incision infection(6.25%).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of postoperative complications between the laparoscopy group(17.65%)and the open repair surgery group(15.63%)(p > 0.05).During the follow-up for 6 months, there was no recurrence in both groups.Conclusion:Single-port laparoscopy has the advantages of short operation time and short postoperative hospital stay in pediatric hydrocele, which reduces the physical and psychological impact on children, and laparoscopic surgery has the advantages of more beautiful and concealed incision.However,single-port laparoscopic surgery costs more in hospital than open surgery. And the two surgical methods have high safety. Therefore, although single-port laparoscopy has a certain popularizing value in the treatment of pediatric hydrocele,it can not completely replace the traditional open surgery. |
