| Objectives:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy of Wentong Mingmu acupuncture combined with eye muscle plucking in the treatment of oculomotor paralysis through clinical randomized controlled trials,so as to provide a safe and effective method for clinical treatment of oculomotor paralysis.Methods:Fifty-four patients with actinic nerve palsy were randomly divided into a test group(Wentong Mingmu acupuncture group)and a control group(conventional acupuncture group),with 27 patients in each group, and one patient in the test group and two patients in the control group fell off during the treatment period.Patients in both groups were treated with basic medication according to the original disease, and patients in the experimental group were treated with Wentong Mingmu acupuncture combined with ocular muscle flicking, while patients in the control group were treated with conventional acupuncture combined with ocular muscle flicking, once a day for 5 days a week, with a two-day break, and 2 weeks for a course of treatment, for a total of 3 courses of treatment. The improvement of eye fissure size, pupil size, and eye mobility before and after treatment was recorded for both groups, and the data were analyzed using the software SPSS27.0.Results:1.Before treatment, the patients’ age, gender, disease duration, eye fissure size, pupil size and eye mobility were not statistically significant(P>0.05)and were comparable.2.After treatment, the total effective rate was 88.5%in the experimental group and 72.0%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Size of eye fissure:The size of eye fissure in both groups increased after treatment, which was statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P<0.01);the difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05)was statistically significant. The improvement of the size of the eye fissure in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.4.Pupil size:The pupil size of the two groups decreased after treatment, which was statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P<0.01);the difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05)was statistically significant. The improvement of pupil size in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.5.Eye activity:The eye activity of the two groups increased after treatment, which was statistically significant compared with that before treatment(P<0.01);the difference between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05)was statistically significant. The improvement of eye movement in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.Conclusions:1.Both Wentong Mingmu acupuncture combined with eye muscle plucking and conventional acupuncture combined with eye muscle plucking can effectively treat oculomotor nerve palsy, and the therapeutic effect of Wentong Mingmu acupuncture combined with eye muscle plucking is better than that of conventional acupuncture combined with eye muscle plucking.2.The combination of the Wentong Mingmu acupuncture method and the eye muscle flicking technique can effectively improve clinical symptoms such as drooping eyelids, eye movement disorders and dilated pupils in patients with oculomotor nerve palsy. |
