| Objective: To investigate the diagnostic value of indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),a metabolite in bile,in cholangiocarcinoma. Methods: The clinical data of 51 patients treated our Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were collected, including 34 patients with cholangiocarcinoma and 17 patients with biliary stones.Bile and serum samples from these 51 patients were collected, and bile samples were obtained through preoperative percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage(PTBD)or intraoperative bile extraction.Metabolites in the bile were analyzed using LC-MS metabolomics technology to determine the levels of IAA and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)in the bile and serum,Using statistical analysis to infer its auxiliary diagnostic value for cholangiocarcinoma. Results: 1.The expression levels of CA19-9 and metabolite IAA in bile can significantly distinguish between patients with cholangiocarcinoma and biliary stone disease, and their diagnostic value for cholangiocarcinoma is significantly higher than that of patients with biliary stone disease, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The level of CA19-9 in bile in cholangiocarcinoma group was significantly higher than that in serum, and the difference between the two had statistical significance(P<0.05)."The sensitivity and specificity of the determination of CA19-9 and metabolite IAA in bile were 64.70% and 94.10%,respectively,and 88.20% and 94.10%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the detection of CA19-9 and IAA in serum(68.1% and 70.6%,respectively).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).".Conclusion: 1.The expression level of CA19-9 in bile and serum can effectively assist in the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma and biliary stone diseases, and in both cases, the expression level of CA19-9 in bile is more conducive to the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma.2.Comparison of the expression level of metabolite IAA in bile with that of CA19-9 in bile and serum is more conducive to the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma.3.The expression level of CA19-9 and IAA in bile is significantly higher than that of CA19-9 in serum, which helps to further improve the diagnostic accuracy of cholangiocarcinoma. |
