| Jilin Province has a shortage and uneven distribution of water resources,with groundwater being the main source of water supply in rural areas.Due to the special production mode in Jilin Province,the water supply industry in rural areas of the province is hindered by factors such as agricultural pollution and aquaculture pollution,and residents in rural areas lack professional knowledge of drinking water safety.Without obvious suspended solids in their drinking water,they believe it can be consumed,unaware that the water source has already been contaminated.Compared to urban areas,rural areas in Jilin Province lack funding,talent investment,and technical support,and have not yet established an efficient and mature safe water supply system that matches the situation in rural areas.In addition,compared to the southern regions,the northern rural areas,especially those in Jilin Province,have complex terrain conditions.The area of mountains,hills,and plateaus in the province accounts for about 58% of the total area.There are numerous rural villages,and there is a large and dispersed gap in residential scale among residents.Therefore,the water supply projects in rural areas of Jilin Province have the characteristics of dispersion,small water supply scale,low water supply standards,and high management difficulty.In response to the many problems in water supply in rural areas of Jilin Province,as well as the limited research on water treatment technology and water supply safety systems,this study mainly conducted the following work to provide technical support and reference for solving the water supply problems in rural areas of Jilin Province,which has important practical significance for ensuring safe water use in rural areas.(1)Studied the current situation of water supply projects and water sources in rural areas of Jilin Province.The water supply projects in rural areas of Jilin Province mostly rely on groundwater as the water source,and the main type of water supply projects is decentralized water supply projects.The number of decentralized water supply projects accounts for 99.5% of all water supply projects,while centralized water supply projects account for 0.5%.The centralized water supply project ensures the water demand of 45%of the water consuming population,while the decentralized water supply project ensures the water demand of 55% of the water consuming population.The problem of water source pollution is widespread,as well as the problem of arsenic,fluorine,iron,manganese exceeding standards and microbial pollution in underground water sources.On this basis,taking into account the situation of water source areas in Jilin Province,we will select water supply treatment processes suitable for rural areas in Jilin Province according to local conditions.Namely:(1)The water supply project uses surface water as the source of water,and conventional water treatment processes(coagulation,sedimentation,filtration,disinfection)and enhanced conventional water treatment processes can be selected for water quality purification;(2)Use disinfection processes to purify groundwater with good water quality;(3)For groundwater with excessive arsenic and fluorine levels,polymeric iron salts are selected as coagulants for coagulation,sedimentation;(4)Filtration removal for groundwater with excessive iron and manganese levels,the contact oxidation method can be used as the basic process for purification treatment.(2)Starting from various aspects such as water source pollution,water supply engineering operation and maintenance management,capital investment,talent cultivation,rural water treatment technology,residents’ environmental awareness,laws and regulations,this paper delves into the problems of water supply in rural areas of Jilin Province,and proposes scientific and feasible solutions based on targeted problems.(3)In response to the problem of excessive iron(1.5mg/L)and manganese(0.8mg/L)levels in groundwater in a rural area of Dunhua City,Jilin Province,a groundwater treatment process was studied and designed.The alkaline aeration oxidation and ceramic manganese sand double layer filter material filtration process have been determined to treat high iron manganese groundwater.The process design parameters have been optimized,and the actual project operation is normal.The effluent quality meets the requirements of the "Sanitary Standards for Drinking Water"(GB-5749-2022).This technology only uses a one-stage aeration and filtration treatment unit,which has the characteristics of simple process flow,low investment,low operating costs,and simple management and maintenance.It provides a new technical reference for the removal of iron and manganese in groundwater to meet people’s demand for high-quality groundwater.After modifying the filter material in the filter tank in this process,it can be used to remove arsenic and fluorine plasma from water.This process technology can be promoted and applied in small-scale water supply treatment stations in rural and remote areas that use groundwater as the water source. |
