| Objective: To analyse the characteristics of patients with unilateral complete cleft lip and palate(Unilateral cleft lip and palate,UCLP),and the differences with non-cleft lip and palate skeletal class I malocclusion and skeletal class III malocclusion children in the same dental period. Methods:Selected from March 2015 to December 2022 in the second affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University,90 patients, which were divided into Non-cleft palate class I group(Group A),unilateral complete cleft palate group(Group B)and non-cleft palate group(Group C),measured with Uceph 4.2.1 software and analyzed data with SPSS 26.0 statistical software. Results: Sagittal AB-NP angles were statistically different between the three groups(P<0.001),and group A<B<C.N-S-Ar angle,S-Ar-Go angle,Ar-Go-Me angle,OP-FH angle,ODI value,N-Me length,S-Go length,N-ANS length and surface height ratio were statistically different between the three groups(P<0.05);S-Ar-Go angle,OP-FH angle,N-Me length,N-Go length and S-Go length and N-ANS length were Group B<A,and ODI value,N-S-Ar angle and Ar-Go-Me angle were Group A<B.Lip-Diff values,G-Gs thickness,Sn-A thickness and B-B’ thickness were statistically different between the three groups(P<0.05);Sn-A thickness and Lip-Diff values were statistically different between Group A and B(P<0.001)and group B<A;Lip-Diff values between group A and C(P<0.001)and Group C<A.PP-MP angle APDI value and APDI ’values were different between the three groups(P<0.05),and PP-MP angle: Group B<A<C,APDI value and APDI’ value: Group A <B<C.The results between the palatal plane and alternative palatal plane measurements were credible(ICC>0.40),except for the difference between PP-SN and PP ’-SN(P>0.05),all the other angles could replace the alternative palatal plane, and the reliability coefficient of ODI and ODI’ values between the three groups was greater than 0.75,indicating good reliability. Conclusion:There are differences in the sagittal, vertical and soft tissue thickness between the patients after unilateral complete cleft lip and palate repair with non-cleft lip and palate;the alternative palatal plane in the cephalometric analysis could be used to identify the posterior nasal ridge in the clinical measurement. |
