| Objective The clinical effect of beryllium needle combined with ordinary acupuncture and oral western medicine in treating rheumatoid arthritis(RA)was observed.Method Those hospitalized in the Rheumatology Department of the Regional Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 were selected,Sixty-four RA patients with dampness were divided into two groups according to the random alphabet method.Thirty-two patients in the control group were treated with ordinary acupuncture combined with oral methotrexate tablets and hydroxychloroquine tablets,and32 patients in the treatment group were treated with beryllium acupuncture on the basis of the treatment in the control group. Both of the 2 groups were treated for 2 weeks.A total of 11 shedding cases were seen after the trial. For 27 people in the treatment group and 26 people in the control group, the visual analog scale(VAS),health evaluation questionnaire(HAQ),condition evaluation of rheumatoid arthritis patients(DAS 28-ESR score),TCM syndrome score grading quantification standard table,TCM syndrome efficacy determination,C reactive protein(CRP),and compare the statistical effect. Results Total response rate in the treatment group was 96.30%(26/27),the control group was 65.38%(17/26),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P < 0.05).After treatment, the serological index CRP in the 2 groups was reduced compared with the serological index before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the CRP in the treatment group was lower than the CRP in the control. After treatment, the total score of joint pain, joint flexion and extension, and TCM syndrome in the 2 groups decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and after treatment, the scores of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion Beryllium needle combined with common acupuncture to treat wind, cold and dampness obstruction type RA reduces the expression of CRP in the serum of patients, and effectively improves the joint pain and range of motion of patients, which is worthy of clinical use and promotion. |
