Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Cough Variant Asthma With Dried Lung Syndrome In Dry Low Altitude Area By Sangxing Zhike Formula

Objective: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with the aim of comparing the clinical efficacy differences between the use of Budesonide and formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation with Sangxing Zhike Formula on demand and budesonide formoterol alone on demand in the treatment of cough variant asthma with evidence of dryness injuring the lung in a dry and low altitude region(Turpan).Methods: Patients with a clinical diagnosis of cough variant asthma(according to the diagnostic criteria of the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cough(2021))who attended the outpatient clinics of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care of Turpan People’s Hospital and Turpan People’s Hospital between January 2022 and December 2022 were enrolled in the study.80 patients were divided into 40 patients in the treatment group and 40 patients in the control group according to randomization.The patients in the control group were given b Budesonide and formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation inhaler twice a day,one inhalation at a time,and the patients in the treatment group were treated orally with the Sangxing Zhike Formula on the basis of the western medical treatment regimen in the control group,and the FEV1,TCM Evidence Efficacy Index,visual score of cough,Leicester Cough Quality of Life Questionnaire and related safety indexes were observed and recorded before and after treatment in both groups,and the results were recorded in Microsoft Excel to establish a database,and SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results: The expected number of study cases in this experiment was 80,of which 2 were shed in the treatment and 2 in the control group,and finally the treatment and control groups each contained 38 patients with balanced sample data.The control group indicated treatment with Western medicine only,and the treatment group indicated treatment with a combination of Western and Chinese medicine.After treatment,the improvement rates of FEV1,TCM evidence,TCM evidence efficacy index,cough visual score,and Leicester Cough Quality of Life Questionnaire were significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group(P <0.05).No significant adverse effects were observed during the treatment period in both groups.Conclusion: Sangxing Zhike Formula with Budesonide and formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation for Cough variant asthma was superior to Budesonide and formoterol Fumarate Powder for Inhalation alone in relieving the TCM symptoms,reducing discomfort,and improving the efficacy of Cough variant asthma patients.
