Objective: The androgen receptor and nuclear protein-1 genes with differentially expressed ferroptosis in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps complicated with asthma were screened by bioinformation technology. To investigate the expression of ar and nupr1 gene in CRSw NP combined with AS,CRSw NP alone and control group, respectively, and explore the correlation between ar and nupr1 gene expression and clinical symptoms of nasal polyps with asthma. Methods: Thirty-two tissue specimens from the Hospital who underwent nasal endoscopic surgery from March 2021 to March 2022 and had diagnosed CRSw NP after surgery were selected and separated into 15 cases with asthma and 17 cases without asthma and hooked mucosal tissue specimens 20 cases who underwent maxillary sinus cyst removal at the same time. The expression of ar and nupr1 m RNA was detected in the samples of the three groups, and t-test analysis was performed between the three groups;eosinophils could be counted in each group using HE staining, and the expression of ar and nupr1 was analyzed by Pearson correlation, and the same method was applied to correlate the clinical symptom questionnaire Lund-Mackey and Snot-22 scores with the expression. The same method was applied to correlate the Lund-Mackey assessment of clinical symptoms and Snot-22 score with the expression. There was statistical significance when P<0.05.Results: Comparatively to the control group,CRSw NP+AS polyp tissue expressed low ar and nupr1 gene expression, while CRSw NP polyp tissue had no statistically significant difference from normal tissue. The expression of ar and nupr1 genes in polyp tissue in CRSw NP+AS was low and statistically significant compared with the control group, but no significant difference was observed in polyp tissue in CRSw NP compared with the normal group;the expression of ar and nupr1 genes was statistically significant with eosinophil count in polyp tissue in CRSw NP+AS,and the lower the expression of ar and nupr1 genes, the greater the eosinophil count, which was negatively correlated;the expression of ar and nupr1 genes were negatively correlated with preoperative SNOT-22 score and sinus CT score clinical symptom score, respectively. Conclusion: Both ar and nupr1 genes are lowly expressed in patients with nasal polyps with asthma, which may be related to the pathogenesis of nasal polyps with asthma and may be a new idea of therapeutic target...
