Objective:To investigate the prevalence and main risk factors of regurgitation valvular disease(including aortic regurgitation, mitral regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation)in Northeast China,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of regurgitation valvular disease in Northeast China. Methods: A total of 11956 residents aged 35 years old and above in Northeast China were selected by stratified cluster random sampling method from 2012 to 2013.The information of the residents(including baseline survey, physical examination, biochemical indicators, electrocardiograph, etc.)was collected to analyze the prevalence of regurgitation valvular disease in Northeast China.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the main risk factors of regurgitation valvular disease. Results: This study described the prevalence of various types of regurgitation valvular disease in natural population in northeast China. The overall prevalence of mitral regurgitation, aortic regurgitation and tricuspid regurgitation was 2.0%,1.5% and 4.0%,respectively.The prevalence of tricuspid regurgitation was 1.8% in male and 1.3% in female. The prevalence of aortic regurgitation was 5.2% in men and 3.1% in women. The prevalence of regurgitation valvular disease increases with age,and the effect is more pronounced in men,and attention should be paid to age-related effects in clinical work.Multivariate regression analysis showed that age(OR:1.061;95%CI:1.040-1.082),gender(OR:0.614;95%CI:0.390-0.967),body mass index(OR:0.862;95%CI:0.798-0.931),waist circumference(OR:0.974;95%CI:0.950-1.000),total cholesterol(OR:0.544;95%CI:0.378-0.784),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(OR:2.121;95%CI:1.396-3.222),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(OR:2.226;95%CI:1.404-3.529),left atrial diameter(OR:4.891;95%CI:3.544-6.752),left ventricular ejection fraction(OR:0.929;95%CI:0.903-0.957)were the risk factors of mitral regurgitation.Age(OR:1.082;95%CI:1.058-1.106),body mass index(OR:0.849;95%CI:0.779-0.926),heart rate(OR:0.979;95%CI:0.965-0.993),systolic blood pressure(OR:0.979;95%CI:0.969-0.990),total cholesterol(OR:0.496;95%CI:0.333-0.740),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(OR:2.347;95%CI:1.477-3.730),left atrial diameter(OR:2.736;95%CI:1.932-3.875),left ventricular ejection fraction(OR:0.949;95%CI:0.918-0.982)were the risk factors of tricuspid regurgitation.Age(OR:1.065;95%CI:1.050-1.081),body mass index(OR:0.931;95%CI:0.884-0.9811),systolicblood pressure(OR:1.013;95%CI:1.007-1.019),diastolic blood pressure(OR:0.974;95%CI:0.962-0.986),total cholesterol(OR:0.689;95%CI:0.536-0.884),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(OR:1.507;95%CI:1.130-2.011),interventricular septal thickness(OR:20.269;95%CI:2.350-174.811),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(OR:2.774;95%CI:1.626-4.731),posterior wall thickness(OR:32.920;95%CI:2.296-472.044),left ventricular ejection fraction(OR:0.964;95%CI:0.941-0.987)were the risk factors of aortic regurgitation. Conclusion: The prevalence of regurgitation valvular disease in the natural population in northeast China is different from that in other regions.Age,body mass index, systolic blood pressure, dyslipidemia and left ventricular ejection fraction are the main risk factors of regurgitation valvular disease, which provides evidence for estimating the burden of valvular disease and formulating policy strategies in China.
