Objective:To investigate the disease status of patients with hypopituitarism,measure their health utility value,further evaluate the quality of life and analyze the influencing factors,the results and conclusions can provide data supports for disease-related economic research,to make targeted intervention recommendations that factors affecting health utility value in patients with hypopituitarism,to provide a reference for improving the patient’s prognosis and improving the quality of life.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria and the exclusion criteria,this study will include patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College and diagnosed with hypopituitarism from 1 August 2017 to 31 August 2022,the questionnaires are completed by telephone interview,the contents of the questionnaires mainly includes patient’s social-demographic information,related disease information and the EQ-5D-5L scale,the health utility value is calculated by using the utility value integration system which is suitable for Chinese population,to assess the quality of life,the health utility value and the five-dimensional health status as the dependent variables,social-demographic information and related disease information as independent variables,to analyze the related influencing factors by single factors analysis and multiple factors analysis.Results:(1)The mean age of the respondents is 53.01 ± 13.97 years old,47.6% of patients are female and 52.4% of patients are males.The marriage population accounted for70.1% of the total sample,27.2% of patients with primary school education or below,56.5% of patients earn between 20000 and 60000 RMB.(2)There are 324 outcomes in patients with hypopituitarism,the median of EQ-5D-5L health utility value is 0.882(0.734,0.893),with a maximum value of 0.955 and a minimum value of 0.266,the median of EQ-VAS score is 70(63,78).The five dimensions of health status in EQ-5D-5L scale is most prominent as problems of anxiety or depression,93.9% of the patients have different degrees of anxiety or depression,and the pain or discomfort ranks second,75.5%,35.4%,29.9% and 44.9%of patients have respectively difficulties in mobility,self-care and daily activities.(3)The results of univariate analysis show that differences in age,permanent residence,educational level,different marital status,income level,current number of hormones taken,knowledge of adverse hormone reactions,whether to follow the doctor’s advice,and the presence of other chronic diseases on health utility value have statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)Age,educational level,permanent residence,marital status,and presence of other chronic diseases are related with health utility value.Conclusion:(1)The health utility value of patients with hypopituitarism is lower than healthy people.(2)In the five-dimension health description,the problem of varying degrees of anxiety or depression is the most prominent.(3)Age,permanent residence,education level,marital status,income level,number of hormones taken,knowledge of adverse hormone reactions,whether following the doctor’s advice,and presence of other chronic diseases may be relevant to the quality of life in patients with hypopituitarism.age,educational level,permanent residence,marital status,and presence of other chronic diseases are independently related factors affecting the health utility value.
