Efficacy Of Suhe Rhinitis Ointment In The Treatment Of Allergic Rhinitis Of Heat Accumulation Type Of Lung Meridian

Objective: To preliminarily evaluate the improvement of nasal symptoms,nasal turbinate signs and TCM symptoms in patients with heat accumulation type of lung meridian allergic rhinitis(AR)with Suhe rhinitis ointment,which provides a further exploration of external Chinese medicine treatments for AR.Methods: Patients with allergic rhinitis were collected from the ENT outpatient clinic of Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 1,2022 to December 31,2022.Seventy-two patients with allergic rhinitis were screened in strict accordance with the criteria and divided into two groups using the regional randomization method,with 36 cases in each group.The test group was treated by applying Suhe rhinitis ointment to the nasal cavity,and the control group was treated by applying placebo to the nasal cavity.After continuous treatment for 14 days,the TCM syndrome scores and VAS scores of nasal symptoms were compared before and after treatment in each group,and data were entered in an Excel sheet.SPSS26.0 software was used to statistically analyse the data and assess the improvement and treatment efficiency.Results:1.After a course of treatment for 14 days,the nasal symptoms of patients in the test and control groups were improved to different degrees compared with those in the previous group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05);the effect of the test group was significantly better than that of the control group when compared between groups(P <0.05).The improvement effect of Suhe rhinitis ointment on AR TCM symptoms,nasal symptoms and nasal turbinate signs was more obvious.2.After a course of treatment for 14 days,the total efficacy rate of the test group was90.91%(including 10 cases of significant effect,20 cases of effective,and 3 cases of ineffective),and the total efficacy rate of the control group was 21.88%(including 7 cases of effective,and 25 cases of ineffective).The total efficacy rate of the two groups was compared,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Suhe rhinitis ointment has a clear therapeutic effect on AR.3.During the treatment,there were patients with mild adverse reactions in both groups,but there was no significant difference(P > 0.05,6 cases in the test group and 3cases in the control group),and there were no serious adverse reactions in both groups.Suhe rhinitis ointment has less adverse reactions and higher safety in the treatment of AR.Conclusion:Suhe rhinitis ointment was better in improving the TCM symptoms,nasal turbinate signs and nasal symptoms in patients with heat accumulation type of lung meridian allergic rhinitis.And Suhe rhinitis ointment has the advantages of less adverse reactions,simple operation and so on.which is enriching the clinical treatment of allergic rhinitis and further and more comprehensive clinical studies are warranted.
