Clinical Research Of Acupuncture Combined With Massage On Adenoid Hypertrophy In Children

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with massage on adenoid hypertrophy in children.By analyzing the four major symptoms of nasal congestion,runny nose,snoring,open mouth breathing,cough,sputum,pharyngeal redness,pharyngeal pain,adenoid appearance,hearing loss,appetite loss,dry stool,yellow urine and other minor symptoms and the improvement of A/N ratio of X-ray nasopharyngeal lateral film before and after treatment,comprehensive research was done on the clinical effectiveness of using massage and acupuncture to treat children with adenoid hyperplasia.To provide a green,safe and standard scheme for the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy in clinic.Method:64 children who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into32 cases of traditional Chinese medicine treatment group(acupuncture combined massage treatment)and 32 cases of Western medicine control group(mometasone furoate nasal spray treatment).Before treatment,Symptom and sign scores of each stage after 1,2 and 3 months of treatment and A/N ratio data scores of nasopharyngeal lateral X-ray before and after treatment were used to evaluate the efficacy,and SPSS25.0 was used for data processing.Result:A total of 64 qualified subjects were identified in this study,including 32 in the Chinese medicine treatment group and 32 in the Western medicine control group,4 cases fell off during treatment,and no cases were discontinued.A total of 60 cases were finally completed,including30 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group.1.Safety analysis: No obvious adverse reactions such as fainting needles,skin damage,nose bleeding and allergy were observed in the treatment of the two groups.2.Overall efficacy evaluation: After 3 months of treatment,the total effective rate of the Chinese medicine treatment group was 93.33%,which was significantly higher than that of the Western medicine control group76.67%(P<0.05),suggesting that the two groups of treatment schemes can treat children with adenoid hypertrophy and alleviate the clinical symptoms of children,especially the Chinese medicine treatment group.3.Comparison of comprehensive scores of clinical symptoms and signs:After 1 month of treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the total scores of the four major diseases of nasal congestion,runny nose,snoring during sleep and open mouth breathing(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups had similar improvement effects in the short term.However,after 2 and 3 months of treatment,there was a difference in the total score of main symptoms between the two groups(P<0.05),indicating that the TCM treatment group was better than the Western medicine control group in the continuous improvement of main symptoms.Comparing the total score of secondary symptoms between the two groups,there was a difference after 1,2 and 3 months of treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the TCM treatment group was better than the western medicine control group in improving the minor symptoms of cough,sputum,pharyngeal redness,pharyngeal pain,appetite,hearing and urine and stool.4.A/N ratio and integral comparison of lateral nasopharyngeal X-ray:After 3 months of treatment,there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that the Chinese medicine treatment group could effectively reduce the volume of hyperplastic adenoids in children,thus widening the airway and improving breathing.5.Comparison of total scores after treatment: The total scores of the two groups were compared after 3 months of treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the effect of acupuncture combined with massage in the treatment of children with adenoid hypertrophy was significantly better than that of mometasone furoate nasal spray.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture combined with pediatric massage therapy,on the one hand,can continue to improve AH children with nasal congestion,snoring,runny nose,open mouth breathing symptoms,on the other hand,but also reduce children cough,sputum,pharyngeal red,sore symptoms,enhance their appetite,improve the quality of sleep quality of children.2.Acupuncture combined with massage therapy can effectively reduce the volume of adenoids,widen the airway of children,so as to smooth breath,breathe evenly,so that children away from the “adenoid face”.3.Acupuncture combined with pediatric massage in the treatment of AH has more advantages than the simple use of mometasone furoate nasal spray,and the effect is good,non-toxic side effects,worthy of clinical application.
