| ObjectiveBased on the Co-design theory, construct information needs question prompt list for patients with ovarian cancer during perioperative period, and evaluate the clinical application effect.Methods1.Through literature review and qualitative interviews with ovarian cancer patients, understand the information needs of ovarian cancer patients during the perioperative period, and the preliminary draft of information needs question prompt list for patients with ovarian cancer during perioperative period was constructed. From November 2020 to January 2021,17 experts in the field of gynecological clinical medicine and nursing were selected by Delphi method for two rounds of letter consultation.Indicators were screened according to the principles of importance mean ≥4.0,full score frequency >0.20 and coefficient of variation <0.25,and the question prompt list was modified and improved based on the feedback from experts. The feasibility of this method was evaluated through clinical trials, and finally a question prompt list of perioperative information needs of ovarian cancer patients was formed.2.From March 2021 to October 2021,60 inpatients with ovarian cancer diagnosed for the first time in a department of gynecology in tertiary hospital in Henan Province were selected as the study subjects.Randomized number table was used to divide the patients into experimental group and control group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing;while the intervention group applied question prompts to evaluate patients’ different information needs on the basis of routine nursing, and assisted with evidence-based nursing manual,disease-related health education videos and teach-back health education to conduct personalized health education for patients.Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,Self-Rating Depression Scale,Information Needs Assessment Scale and Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General were used for evaluation.Semi-structured in-depth interview with experimental group of patients using question prompt table feeling and experience.SPSS25.0 was used for statistical analysis. The general demographic data of patients were described by frequency and percentage.Chi-square test was used for comparison between groups. The scores of anxiety, depression, information needs and quality of life of patients in the two groups before and after intervention were expressed by mean(±)standard deviation, between the groups were compared using independent samples t test, the intra-group comparison were compared using paired samples t test.P<0.05 indicated statistically significant difference.Results1.Through literature review and qualitative interviews with 10 ovarian cancer patients,a total of7 themes were extracted.Including disease diagnosis, disease treatment, surgical planning, surgical impact, postoperative care, chemotherapy information, psychosocial support and other dimensions,a total of 52 items. The effective recoveries of the two rounds of expert correspondence questionnaire were 85% and100%,the expert authority coefficient was 0.91,and the Kendall harmony coefficients was 0.296 and 0.262.Combined with the opinions of patients during the clinical trial, the final perioperative question prompt list for ovarian cancer patients contains 7 dimensions, including 5 items for disease diagnosis,5 items for treatment plan,5 items for operation plan,5 items for operation influence,8 items for postoperative care,9items for chemotherapy, and 8 items for psychosocial issues,a total of 45 questions.2.30 patients were included in each of the two groups, among which 1 patient in the experimental group temporarily refused surgery and 1 patient in the control group was transferred to another department due to postoperative condition changes. Finally, there were 29 patients in each group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in age, education level, residence, working status, family income, medical settlement method and marital status(P>0.05).After intervention, the anxiety score of the control group was(50.52±4.87)and the experimental group was(46.10±2.80);The depression score of the control group was(50.76±3.72)and the experimental group was(45.28±3.31).The score of information need was(117.83±8.21)in the control group and(102.03±8.34)in the experimental group.Scores of anxiety, depression and information need in experimental group were lower than those in control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The score of life quality after intervention was(78.21±5.29)in the control group and(86.86±4.78)in the experimental group, the experimental group was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Semi-structured interview with 6 ovarian cancer patients found that they were more acceptable to the question prompt table, which could help them understand the relevant information of the disease of concern.Conclusion1.Information needs of perioperative ovarian cancer patients mainly include disease diagnosis, disease treatment, operation plan, operation impact, postoperative care, chemotherapy information, psychosocial support. The needs are diverse. The question prompt list of perioperative information needs of ovarian cancer patients constructed in the study is scientific, specific and feasible.2.The question prompt list for patients with ovarian cancer during perioperative period can accurately assess the information needs and mobilize the subjective initiative of patients,so as to provide targeted information support strategies to reduce negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, meet the information needs of patients and improve the quality of life of patients. |
