Study On The Value Of Serum IL-8 In Patients Of Cirrhosis Combined With Sarcopenia

Objective:Sarcopenia is one of the complications of liver cirrhosis that has recently attracted attention.Chronic systemic microinflammation is one of the main causes of Sarcopenia in liver cirrhosis.To explore the risk inflammatory factors of sarcopenia in patients with liver cirrhosis.Methods:51 patients with liver cirrhosis hospitalized in the Department of Gastroenterology of Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were included and qualified for admission and excretion were included.The differential expression of 20inflammatory factor proteins in patients’serum was detected by Ray Biotech antibody chip.These 20 proteins include IL-6、IL-10、IL-12 p40、IL-12 p70、IL-8、IL-1ra、IL-1b、IFN-g、TNF-α、BDNF、MSP、Procalcitonin、TGF-β1、VEGF、Chemerin、RANTES、Adipsin、TNF RII、TNF RI、SAA.The liver cirrhosis related indexes and abdominal CT images of all patients were collected.The cross-sectional area of L3 skeletal muscle was calculated by Sliceomatic 5.0 software,and the skeletal muscle index(SMI)was obtained by height standardization.According to the diagnostic criteria of the Asian Sarcopenia Working Group using SMI cutoff values,male patients with SMI<36.5cm~2/m~2 and female patients with SMI<30.2 cm~2/m~2 were evaluated as sarcopenia,while the rest were non sarcopenia patients.Further evaluate male patients with SMI<28.9cm~2/m~2 and female with SMI<23.9 cm~2/m~2 as severe sarcopenia,and male with 28.9≤SMI≤36.5 cm~2/m~2 and female with 23.9≤SMI≤30.2 cm~2/m~2 as mild sarcopenia.Analyze the risk inflammatory factors associated with sarcopenia in liver cirrhosis.Results:Among the cirrhotic patients included in the study,the prevalence of sarcopenia was70.59%(36/51),the prevalence of male was 55.56%(15/27),and the prevalence of female was 87.50%(21/24).There were significant differences in sex、etiology、BMI、IL-6、IL-10 and IL-8 between the two groups(P<0.05),and IL-6,IL-10,IL-8 are negatively correlated with SMI.Multivariate analysis showed that sex and IL-8 were independent risk factors for the occurrence of sarcopenia in cirrhosis.Conclusion:Female and IL-8≥12.12 are independent risk factors for sarcopenia in patients with liver cirrhosis.
