Objective:To investigate the relationship between the characteristics of pericoronary adipose tissue attenuation and cardiovascular risk factors and plaque parameters.Method:Retrospective analysis of outpatients and inpatients who had only plaque in the right coronary artery at CCTA examination in Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital from September 2021 to January 2023,and clinical and imaging data of the patients were collected. The nature of the plaque(calcified plaque,non-calcified plaque, mixed plaque)and the degree of stenosis(<50%,≥50%)in the right coronary artery were recorded. The mean CT value of the adipose tissue within 10-50 mm of the proximal right coronary artery was measured as the pericoronary adipose tissue(PCAT)attenuation for each patient. The relationship between PCAT attenuation and cardiovascular risk factors and plaque parameters was analyzed by single factor and multi factor linear regression, and the factors affecting PCAT attenuation in right coronary artery were screened out.Result:A total of 64 patients were included, and the mean attenuation value of the right coronary PCAT was(-82±8.16 HU).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender, plaque nature and stenosis degree were the influencing factors of PCAT attenuation in right coronary artery. The PCAT attenuation was higher in men than in women. The PCAT attenuation was higher in non-calcified plaques and mixed calcified plaques than in calcified plaques. The PCAT attenuation was higher in stenosis(≥50%)than in stenosis(<50%).Conclusion:PCAT attenuation in the right coronary artery is associated with gender, plaque nature, and degree of stenosis, and it is important to be aware of the influence of these factors when assessing pericoronary inflammation using computed tomography angiography.
