| Objective(s):A five-year follow-up survey was conducted on the refractive status of 2432 school-age children from 12 primary schools in Mojiang County,Yunnan Province,to study the distribution and change regularity of myopic anisometropia,the prevalence rate of myopic anisometropia,the cumulative prevalence rate of myopic anisometropia and the change of binocular diopter in school-age children,providing reference for monitoring the development of children’s eyeballs and the prevention and control of ametropia.Methods:This is a cohort study.Based on cross-sectional screening results,2432 children aged 7-8 years old from 12 primary schools in Mojiang County,Yunnan Province were followed up for five years.The questionnaire was completed and the baseline age was recorded.Height and weight were measured.After ciliary muscle paralysis(1% cyclopentotorate hydrochloride eye solution),computer optometry(Topcon RM-8000)and subjective optometry were performed to obtain binocular diopters.Len-Star ocular optical biometrics instrument was used to measure the biological parameters of binocular eyeball,including axial length(AL),lens thickness(LT),maximum corneal curvature(Kf),maximum corneal curvature(Ks),anterior chamber depth(ACD),and central corneal thickness(CCT).Binocular equivalent diameter and binocular equivalent diameter difference,binocular axis(AL)difference,BMI value,binocular anterior chamber depth(ACD)difference,binocular total astigmatism(RA)difference were calculated,and the correlation between myopia anisometropia and binocular axis(AL)difference,BMI value,binocular anterior chamber depth(ACD)difference,binocular total astigmatism(RA)difference was analyzed.Statistical software SPSS(SPSS 20.0 Chinese version)was used to conduct statistical analysis on the data of all subjects.Results: 1.In the baseline survey,myopic anisometropia was within the range of 0.00D-4.12D;in the fifth year,myopic anisometropia was within the range of0.00D-4.25 D.Compared with the data in the first year,the range of myopic anisometropia in the fifth year was larger.In the fifth year,the number of myopic anisometropia in the 0.05-1.00 d range doubled.2.The prevalence rate of myopic anisometropia in the first year was 0.8%,and the cumulative prevalence rate in the fifth year was 2.2%,an increase of 1.4 percentage points.3.25 patients with myopic anisometropia increased by more than 1.00 D in the fifth year compared with the first year,accounting for 8.5%;234 patients with myopic anisometropia increased by less than 1.00 D compared with the first year,accounting for 79.6%;35 patients with myopic anisometropia showed no change in the fifth year compared with the first year,accounting for 11.9%.Myopic anisometropia showed an overall increasing trend.4.Myopic anisometropia was positively correlated with age,binocular axis(AL)difference and BMI value,negatively correlated with binocular anterior chamber depth(ACD)difference,but not correlated with binocular total astigmatism(RA)difference.5.The SER value of the right eye increased compared with the first year,and the change rate of the group with more negative SER in the right eye was greater than that of the group with less negative SER,and the change interval of the group with less negative SER in the right eye was smaller.The SER value of the left eye increased compared with the first year,and the change rate of the group with more negative SER in the left eye was not obvious compared with the group with less negative SER in the left eye,and the change interval of the group with less negative SER in the left eye was smaller.Conclusion(s): Through a five-year follow-up study on the refractive status of2432 school-age children from 12 primary schools in Mojiang County,Yunnan Province,the number of myopic anisometropia patients increased year by year.The degree of myopia anisometropia also increased gradually.Myopic anisometropia was associated with increasing age,AL,BMI,and ACD.The degree of myopia in both eyes increased,and the degree of myopia in the right eye changed faster than that in the left eye. |
