Research On The Emotional Expression Of Social Reality Documentaries

"Realism" was initially based on the aesthetic concept of "imitation" in ancient Greece.Later,this concept was applied to the film ontology language in public to show the detailed observation and accurate description of the society at that time.With the development of film and television art,social reality documentaries integrate this concept into the process of social development in public,use documentaries to show the current social situation,and reflect the epitome of the times or social problems in the story of documentaries,so as to arouse people to pay more attention to people’s livelihood,peep into society and reflect on reality.Most of the events recorded in the documentary come from the typical images of contemporary society.It uses documentary techniques combined with artistic thinking to convey values,thoughts and emotions.Emotion is the bridge between art works and characters.The use of typical images and emotional typical events can shorten the distance between the audience,make the characters resonate with the protagonist,and thus have more thoughts on the theme and intention of the documentary."Back to life" is a documentary work with realistic theme shot by the author based on the excellent research on realistic theme documentaries at home and abroad.The work focuses on the daily life of Cao Shucai and his wife in Shimen Town,Jiangjin District,Chongqing.Through their positive attitude towards life in adversity,they try to show the trust of small people and their respect for life,so as to attract the attention and thinking of more audiences.This paper defines the concept of emotional expression on the basis of summarizing and studying the domestic excellent reality documentary and its related literature review.Explore the constituent elements affecting emotional expression in social reality documentaries.Explore the important value of emotional expression from the social reality theme documentary,respectively apply narratology and audio-visual aesthetics to conduct in-depth research on the ways and Strategies of emotional communication,and finally summarize the problems that are easy to appear in the process of emotional expression in the documentary,and summarize the corresponding improvement measures.Combined with his personal work back to life,this paper analyzes the work from the aspects of the importance of emotional expression,emotional narration,audio-visual presentation and the psychological identity of the audience.Emotion is the link between the audience and art.Narrative structure and narrative means are used to assist emotional expression.Use visual language and auditory language to enhance emotional rendering.There are some problems of emotional expression in documentaries,such as lack of value,false manufacturing,excessive sensationalism,single performance and so on.We should pay attention to the accumulation of emotion,the grasp of degree,and the reproduction and resonance of emotion,so as to make the documentaries of social reality give full play to their social value and arouse social consensus.Finally,the thesis is summarized.This paper analyzes how the documentary can better convey emotion from different angles,combined with the practical experience of the graduation work "back to life" created by the author,in order to provide reference for the practical operation and theoretical research of emotional expression of realistic theme documentaries in the future.
