Study On The Plight Of Youth Growth Film

Youth growth film is a subgenre derived from the development of youth films,which refers to films with youth as the narrative subject and their personal growth and youth experience as the narrative content,with distinctive youth culture characteristics.The character’s dilemma is not only the gobbledegook of the story development,but also an important factor in judging whether the characters and the story are valuable.The dilemma in the story can better express the theme and shape the character,so the character’s dilemma and the development of the storyline are inextricably linked.Adolescents are different from adults in that they have a strong sense of rebellion,unclear self-perception,and immature physical and mental development,so their dilemmas should be designed by relying on the psychological state of adolescence.This paper will analyze and study the design of characters’ dilemmas in youth development films from the playwriting theory.The author analyzes the application of character’s dilemma in youth growth films from four aspects: overview of youth growth films and character’s dilemma,characteristics of character’s dilemma in youth growth films,design methods of character’s dilemma in youth growth films and image presentation of character’s dilemma,and combined with the graduation project "Go on Youth".The first chapter is an overview of the concepts related to youth development films,clarifying the definition of character dilemma,analyzing the formation factors of character dilemma,and discussing the significance of designing character dilemma;the second chapter focuses on the characteristics of character dilemma in youth development films,and analyzes the psychological state of adolescents and the main manifestations of adolescence;the third chapter analyzes the application of character dilemma in youth development films in the light of the relevant concepts and theories in the previous section and in the context of our own creation.The third chapter analyzes the design of characters’ dilemmas in youth growth films in light of the relevant concepts and theories in the previous paper,and combines them with our own creations;the fourth chapter analyzes and studies three ways for teenagers to break through their dilemmas in the films.The fourth chapter analyzes and studies three ways of teenagers’ breakthrough in the film.The research of this paper is small,but it deeply analyzes the psychological state of teenagers in their growth process,which has certain reference significance for the study of youth growth films.
