Research On Intertextuality Of Symphony Fantastique

This thesis focused on the research perspectives of intertextuality.It discusses specially the intertextuality between Symphonie Fantastique and other musical and literary works,expounding the concrete embodiment of intertextuality in all movements of Symphonie Fantastique.The thesis uses ressearch method of musical analysis to elaborate the intertextuality in Symphonie Fantastique,interpreting “text of society” by “text of work”.The thesis consists of four chapters.The first chapter is an overview of the theory of intertextuality and intertextuality in musicalogical research.The second chapter discusses creative background of Symphonie Fantastique and plots in four literary works.Chapter 3 elaborates intertextuality between Symphonie Fantastique and relevant literary works by using the ressearch method of musical analysis.Chapter 4is the summary of chapter 1 to 3,this chapter interprets the tragic ending of Symphonie Fantastique and its causes,it also reflects and summarizes the ressearch method of intertextuality further more.By virtue of the theory of intertextuality,we can draw a conclusion that Symphonie Fantastique is highly correlated with relative literary works.
