Research On The Aesthetic Features And Application Of Three-Dimensional MG Animation In The Kidult Phenomenon

The full English name of "MG" is "motion graphics",which is an animation form that combines fun,abstraction,simplicity and dynamism.It is a transformer that simplifies,popularizes and entertains complex information,with strong expressiveness and strong dissemination power.In recent years,MG animation has been widely used in popular science,news,advertising and other fields.With the development of three-dimensional(3D)animation technology,a new form of 3D MG animation has emerged.Meanwhile,a "kidult" trend has emerged all over the world.The rapidly popular blind boxes and secondary creation video images also show that the number of kidult or pan-kidult groups is increasing and their consumption capacity and willingness are constantly improving.They have even become the main consumers in some sub-sectors,so this group is increasingly attracting attention and importance from society and business.The author found that these two popular phenomena have many highly overlapping characteristic elements.The author speculates that 3D MG animation can become a favorite animation form for kidult groups.This study conducts research on this speculation and applies it creatively.This thesis research is divided into three parts:theoretical research,design principle refinement and application practice.In the theoretical research part,the concept of MG animation,the evolution of MG animation and the significance of three-dimensionalization are analyzed.By comprehensively comparing the characteristics of 2D MG animation and 3D MG animation,it is concluded that 3D MG animation has more advantages in spatial deduction,perspective presentation and material expressiveness.Subsequently,the relevance of the three 3D MG animation to kidult phenomena was studied.The three perspectives of aesthetic characteristics of 3D MG animation,namely,creators,and kidult audience were extracted.The advantages of 3D MG animation as kidult animation were studied in detail.The potential and feasibility of 3D MG animation as kidult animation were analyzed in detail.In the design principle refinement part,around the aesthetic characteristics of kidult 3D MG animation,combined with case analysis method and multi-disciplinary cross method,the design principles for kidult group’s 3D MG animation are summarized from three dimensions:theme and script design principles,audio-visual language design principles,and artistic conception construction principles.In the application practice part,this study uses the design principles of kidult 3D MG animation to create popular science 3D MG animations,guide-viewing 3D MG animations and story-telling 3D MG animations that meet the aesthetic preferences of kidult groups from speech,image and meaning aspects.After the completion of the animation,semi-structured interviews were conducted with a part of the kidult appreciators to verify the effectiveness of the design principles of kidult 3D MG animations.In summary,this study explores design rules and creative strategies for a new form of kidult animations in a comprehensive methodology.
