Research On Monochrome Expression In Modern And Contemporary Figurative Oil Painting Creation

The modern and contemporary oil painters have broken away from the traditional mode of painting and have attached more importance to the personal expression,whereby concrete oil paintings manifest themselves differently from the past.The essay mainly analyses the monochrome language in the evolution of the language in the expression of the concrete oil paintings in the modern and contemporary background at home and abroad,and reveals the internal relationship between the monochrome and the artist’s emotional expressions.This essay consists of three chapters.The first chapter defines the concrete oil painting and monochrome and the research scope.The second chapter explores the reasons for the formation of monochrome expression in domestic and foreign concrete oil paintings,and summarizes the characteristics of monochrome expression based on the analysis of works.Through the discussions,the essay dwells on the impacts and significance of the use of monochrome in the concrete oil paintings.The third chapter,based on the author’s personal experience of creations,talks about how form languages and the painters’ feelings are combined in the process of creation and the related reflections.The conclusion of this paper is: the monochrome language in the concrete oil painting has a strong symbolic meaning,which is an important means for artists to express their personal feelings.
