| In the modern age,the Japanese choral art experienced a flourily development.Japanese women composers also have received increasing attention and recognition.However,there is still a lack of analysis and research on this group in China.Among the Japanese female composers,Ueda Maki is a new generation composer who is popular with the younger generation of student choirs.< The Meaning of Dream> is a mixed choir suite composed by Ueda Maki.Starting with the analysis of the form and the translation of the lyrics,this thesis expounds how proper fusion the composer made between the lyrics and music,and how rich and correct musical language the composer uses to convey emotions,describe moods,and create atmosphere through the analysis of the music language,moreover what conducting techniques the conductor can choose to express the composer’s creative intent.The author expected that the analysis of this work and the exploration of the conducting method would offer a new references for the artistic arrangement of this work,as well as more options in the repertoire of Chinese choirs.The entire thesis is divided into four chapters: the first chapter introduces the history of Japanese choral music and the life stories of modern Japanese women composers;the second chapter mainly introduces the lyricist,the composer and the background of this choir suite;the third chapter mainly analyzes the music structure and the translation of the lyrics,which lay a foundation for the discussion of the conducting techniques in the fourth chapter;the fourth chapter mainly focuses on the composer’s intention and the corresponding conducting techniques.The conclusion section summarizes the viewpoints of the thesis. |
