Abstract/Summary:
Now,more and more countries begin to learn Chinese and attach importance to it.More and more people hope to get close to and understand China by learning Chinese. For foreign students, communicative competence is the most direct indicator of their Chinese proficiency.Among the several courses of Chinese as a foreign language, spoken chinese is a class type that can reflect students’ communicative ability. However, now,in the spoken chinese teaching, most teachers still pay more attention to how much knowledge students can input in the class, and neglect to exercise students’ ability to output in combination with what they have learned in the class, especially after online teaching has become a normal phenomenon. In order to avoid the separation of "learning" and "using" in the second language classroom, the Production-Oriented Approach originally proposed for the domestic college English classroom came into being. In recent years, many scholars of Chinese as a foreign language also hope to solve the separation of "learning" and "using" through the Production-Oriented Approach.Taking the foreign students in the intermediate class of the School of International Culture and Education of Guangxi Normal University as an example, this paper carried out an 8-class teaching experiment(4 class hours in the control class and 4 class hours in the experimental class),made a relevant analysis of the motivation and assessing strategies that the Production-Oriented Approach can be applied to the intermediate spoken Chinese class, and proved that the direct and indirect motivation can stimulate students’ learning interest, understand their own shortcomings, and let teachers carry out targeted teaching; It also links two link through real-time and delayed evaluation. In the assessing link,it helps students deepen their understanding of the knowledge they have learned through strategies such as Teacher-Student Collaborative Assessment Student-Student Collaborative Assessment, and Student Self-Assessment,so as to cultivate students’ ability to think independently and help each other, and enhance their learning confidence. Finally, according to the results of the teaching experiment and interview questionnaire in this paper it is suggested that the majority of teachers of spoken Chinese as a foreign language should pay attention to the introduction before class, the evaluation after class, and the combination of motivation and assessing.
