The Exploration And Practice Of Decorative Language In The Creation Of Oil Painting

Oil painting is an ancient yet extremely popular form of painting art,which is expressed through composition,shape,color and texture strokes,and has a wide range of creative space and high artistic expression.The application of decorative language in the creation of oil painting can effectively enrich its expression and enhance its aesthetic value.The characteristics of decorative language are the order of composition language,the flatness of modeling language,the subjectivity of color language and the richness and diversity of texture strokes.The harmonious and elegant visual effect of decorative language makes the aesthetic value of oil painting irreplaceable and becomes a new idea for modern artists’ creation.This paper explores and researches decorative language in depth through case studies of Nabi and Secessionist works,analyzes the expressive characteristics and emotional expressions of decorative language in oil painting,and integrates its research results into the series of oil paintings Wind Talking Flower and Wood with my subjective aesthetic emotions.This paper is divided into three parts,the first part,explains the concept of decorative painting language,and introduces the production and development of decorative style of Nabist and Secessionist works;the second part,the study summarizes the characteristics of decorative language,and through the works of Vial,Bonnard,Klimt and Yan Ping to demonstrate the artistic expression of decorative language in composition,shape,color and texture brushwork;the third part The third part is to apply the characteristics of decorative language explored by the study to personal oil painting creation,so as to enrich the expression of the works,enhance the aesthetic interest of the works,and summarize the author’s process of mastering the generalization of natural images into decorative oil paintings in creation.
