The emphasis on food culture,as well as social development and market demand,make more and more books on food subject.Picture books are favored by consumers with their unique form of combination of pictures and texts,and have become a new carrier of food books.When meeting functional needs,food books with picture books as the carrier have both artistic appreciation and reading interest,and their unique visual language and novel expression methods are favored by more children readers.At the same time,under the current consumption background,the products that can bring people the enjoyment of beauty are more and more favored by consumers,and the economic model that serves the emotional needs of consumers gradually develops.Emotional consumption has become a more and more important form of consumption.This topic tries to find a meeting point between children’s food picture books and emotional design,integrate "emotional" into the design of picture books,explore food children’s picture books that can bring readers more emotional experience and arouse readers’ emotional resonance,so as to better play the educational role of children’s picture books,so that children can understand food knowledge and learn food culture through reading picture books.Spread Chinese flavor through picture books.In this paper,literature research method,case analysis method,questionnaire survey method and interdisciplinary research method are used to study the creation and design methods of children’s picture books of food based on the principle of emotional design,and the classification and function of children’s picture books of food are expounded.In addition,the author tries to analyze the psychological characteristics of preschool children from three aspects: cognitive ability,emotional emotion and aesthetic preference,combines the psychological development characteristics of children with the emotional design theory,and explores the emotional design needs of the five senses of "sight,hearing,touch,taste and smell" in the emotional instinct layer of food picture books for children.Legibility and functional needs of picture books in the emotional behavior level;And in the emotional reflection layer,the emotional interaction experience between picture books and readers,the feeding effect and the spreading effect of food culture.From the aspects of shape design,interactive design and food culture injection of picture books,this paper summarizes the design strategies of food children’s picture books at three levels of emotional design.Finally,the design method was applied to the design practice,and the script,role and artistic expression form of the food children’s picture book were designed creatively,and the creation of the picture book was completed.Through systematic theoretical analysis and creation practice,this topic aims to improve the understanding of the theoretical framework of emotional design of children’s picture books about food,enrich its theoretical research,explore specific methods of emotional design of children’s picture books about food,provide certain theoretical guidance and new design ideas for the design of children’s picture books about food,and promote the better development of children’s picture books themed on food.
