As a famous French thinker,Gilles Deleuze’s anti-structure and anti-centralization thoughts have long been deeply rooted in people’s minds,and his "Difference philosophy" has made many scholars at home and abroad marvel at it.With his unique vision,he presents his insightful vision of image in Cinema 1: The Movement-Image and Cinema 2: The Time-Image,thus,a unique relationship between film and philosophy is constructed.Based on Gilles Deleuze’s philosophy of difference,this paper introduces the concept of "Image" in his three kinds of images.First,in the movement-image,Gilles Deleuze equates image,matter and motion,he points out that the image is the representation of motion itself,and that the essence of film is motion-image.Secondly,in the time-image,he equates the image with time,and points out that the image is a representation of time itself Finally,in the thought-image,he equates the image,the thought and the life,points out that the image is the presentation of the thought and the life itself,and believes that the essence of the film image lies in the exploration of the thought and the true meaning of life.The logical structure of this paper is as follows:The first chapter introduces Deleuze’s criticism of traditional linguistic image narration with the help of Metz’s film semiotics theory,and his deconstruction of traditional image narration;Secondly,it introduces the important content of Peirce’s semiotic theory and the reasons why Deleuze borrowed from Peirce’s semiotic theory,thereby establishing the basis for Deleuze’s new image narrative system construction;Finally,it introduces the construction of Deleuze’s new image narrative system,that is,the construction of the tonal change system.With the help of three variations of Bergson’s motion images and Peirce’s symbolic taxonomy,Deleuze divided motion images into six categories,and solved the transformation of new image narratives on different planes and the relationship between them and causal narratives,thereby completing the construction task of the motion image system.In the second chapter,the transition from Deleuze motion image to time image and the development of time image are introduced,which indicate the change of motion and time in motion image and time image,that is,time is no longer subject to motion Then it introduces the emergence of time symbol,that is,the appearance of pure optical and acoustic symbols,and expounds the process of constructing pure audio images by means of description,at last,we introduce the construction of time-image,that is,crystal-image,reality and potential image,memory-image and dream-image.The third chapter first introduces Deleuze’s criticism of Plato’s image view,and then launches a critique of Plato’s traditional thought-image;Secondly,it introduces Deleuze’s subversion of traditional identity through the positive power of simulacrum,and discusses his philosophical thought of difference by finding a pure difference in simulacrum;After that,it introduces the premise and specific process of the generation of Deleuze’s pure thought-image,namely,the generation content of "the brain is the screen";Finally,it introduces the characteristics and differences of Deleuze’s concept of "image" among different images,and expounds Deleuze’s ontological viewpoint of "image for oneself". |
