From Folktales To The Creation Of Caidiao Opera Texts

Caidiao Opera is one of the most representative local operas in Guangxi,an important carrier of Bagui culture,and is known as the happy camellia blooming on the land of Bagui.Folk stories carry the excellent spiritual genes of the Chinese nation,contain rich cultural connotations and artistic values,and are deeply loved by the general public.Folk stories are based on reality and full of interest,which provide many possibilities for the text creation of Caidiao Opera.This paper takes the adaptation of folk stories into the text of Caidiao Opera as the main research direction,takes the script of Caidiao Opera Youming Road as the main research object,combs and analyzes the whole process of the script creation from the folk story Marriage of Two Generations to the Caidiao Drama Youming Road,and further proves the feasibility and importance of extracting materials and nutrients from the folk stories in the text creation of Caitiao Opera.It broadens the creative horizon for the text creation of Caidiao Opera and provides new forms for the dissemination and development of folk stories.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter introduces the textual differences and transformation conditions between folk stories and Caidiao Opera from three aspects: structuring stories with the needs of opera performance,shaping characters with the endorsement of opera and exploring themes based on the present.The second chapter focuses on the artistic features of the Caidiao drama Youming Road,analyzing the ghost imagination,comparative narrative techniques and the language style of the coexistence of poetry and interest in the script.The third chapter,based on theoretical research and creative practice,summarizes the inheritance and development of the characteristics of the opera,and some thoughts on the adaptation of folk stories into opera texts.
