Human body art is an enduring tradition of Western art.Artists and art schools of different times regard human body as an important part of artistic works.Artists express the basic values of human beings through human body art.The formation of beautiful human body art has complex human body art concept factors.In the 19 th century,Dana explored the ideal form of human body art through positivist research methods in ’ art philosophy ’ and explored the traditional Western concept of human body art.Clark ’s " nude art " in the 20 th century analyzes the ideal forms and concepts of human body art from the ancient Greek period to the 20 th century from the perspective of cultural history.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the similarities and differences between Dana ’s " art philosophy " and Clark ’s " nude art" around the two people ’s body art concepts,and to explore the similarities and differences between the two people ’s body art concepts.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly summarizes the research background,research status,research significance and innovation points,which paves the way for the text by analyzing the research background of Dana and Clark ’s body art concept.The first chapter and the second chapter study and analyze the life,background of the times,artistic practice and related theoretical works of Dana and Clark,expound the research methods of Dana ’s positivism and Clark ’s cultural history,and summarize their artistic concepts of human body,so as to provide factual and theoretical basis for the comparison of later artistic concepts of human body.The third chapter,according to the characteristics of the two people ’s human body art concepts that attach importance to the meaning of value,discusses the two major aspects of ’ the artistic value of human body art ’ and ’ the historical value of human body art ’ to illustrate the similar value significance of human body art concepts.The fourth chapter is the focus and difficulty of this article.It analyzes the differences between the two human art concepts,and discusses the two levels of ’ideal beauty ’ and ’ moral concept ’.Especially in the ideal beauty part,it analyzes the ideal beauty of Danner ’s pure rationality and the ideal beauty of Clark ’s rational and irrational interweaving.On the basis of further summarizing the similarities and differences between Danner ’s and Clark ’s human art concepts,the conclusion part expounds the progress and logic of European human art concepts in the 19 th and 20 th centuries.
