The Study Of Refusal Speech Act In Internet Conversation

With the development of internet technology,the network has gradually become an indispensable communication platform in people’s daily life.In network communication,influenced by many network context factors,people’s speech act is different from that in the real context.We noticed that the speech act of refusal,which is closely related to politeness in online conversation,shows some characteristics different from those in the past,which is worth exploring.This study is divided into six parts.The introduction section briefly introduces the research significance,current research status at home and abroad,applied linguistic theories and research methods of the paper,and explains the corpus.The first chapter is the discourse structure of speech act in online conversation.Firstly,demonstrate the composition of its discourse sequence,and then analyze the formal expression of discourse structure from the lexical and syntactic levels.The second chapter is about the types of strategies of refusing speech act in online conversation.According to the direction of speech force implementation,the network refusal speech act is divided into two categories:mitigation strategy and conflict strategy.Further classify each major category based on specific functions.The third chapter examines the factors that influence the choice of speech act strategies in online conversation.From the perspective of sociolinguistics,this paper,by using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods,mainly examines the influence of the social power relationship,gender and age of the communicative subject on the choice of refusal strategies.The fourth chapter is the characteristics of speech act of refusal in network conversation.By using the method of comparative research,this paper compares the previous research results with the previous research conclusions on the speech act of real rejection,and summarizes the characteristics of online refusal speech act from three aspects: discourse structure,pragmatic strategies,and the influencing factors of strategy selection.The fifth chapter is the cognitive interpretation of the speech act of network rejection.On the one hand,the principle of salience in cognitive linguistics is used to explain the preferences of rejecters towards discourse sequences,and on the other hand,the schema theory is used to explore the thinking patterns of rejecters when using different refusal strategies.Based on the real corpus,this study systematically presents the discourse structure,pragmatic strategies,influencing factors and other aspects of refusal speech act in online conversation.Through comparison,it explores the characteristics of refusal speech act in the network context.It is hoped that the research conclusions can expand new ideas for the study of Chinese refusal speech act and contribute to the study of network language;At the same time,we also hope to provide useful references for relevant departments to construct a harmonious online language environment and improve citizens’ language abilities.
