In order to monitor the dynamics of soil erosion in Kedong County from 2000 to 2020 and grasp the evolution patterns of local soil erosion occurrence. This study uses remote sensing images as the main data source and applies the USLE correction model.Through remote sensing image interpretation, overlay analysis, and other methods, the soil erosion amount in Kedong County in 2000,2010,and 2020 was obtained. The soil erosion dynamics were monitored at both time and spatial scales, and the results showed that:(1)The soil erosion modulus in Kedong County was 4.80 t/(hm)in 2000,2010,and 2020,respectively 2.a)、7.13 t/(hm 2.a)And 12.86 t/(hm 2.a)Over the past 20 years, the modulus of soil erosion has doubled. The intensity of soil erosion is mainly characterized by slight erosion and mild erosion, accounting for over 92.89%of the total area of soil erosion. The soil erosion amounts in 2000,2010,and 2020 were 6436.95 t,9450.97 t,and 14151.44 t,respectively, with an increase of 7714.49 t over the past 20 years, with a growth ratio of 1:1.2.July and August are the peak periods of soil erosion, with a small amount of erosion occurring from November to March of the following year.(2)On a spatial scale, the 240-320 m elevation zone is the area with high incidence and concentration of soil erosion in Kedong County. The soil erosion modulus in this elevation zone ranges from 3.37 to 7.64 t/(hm 2.a)Among them, soil erosion accounts for 81.43%to 86.35%of the total amount. There is a significant difference in soil erosion intensity among different slope zones. For slopes greater than 5°,the proportion of soil erosion with moderate erosion and above increases sharply. The slope zone of 5-7 °is the most obvious, and the proportion of soil erosion with moderate erosion and above increased from 9.72%in 2000 to 85.88%in 2020.(3)The increase in precipitation is the main driving force for the increase in soil erosion in Kedong County from 2000 to 2020.The intensity of soil erosion on arable land from slight erosion to mild erosion or above in 2000 to 2020 has led to an increase in soil erosion in Kedong County over the past 20 years. In summary, constructing a soil erosion prediction model suitable for the actual situation of Kedong County, monitoring its soil erosion dynamics, and proposing prevention and control suggestions based on driving force analysis are of great significance for local soil and water conservation and ecological construction.
