The Aqueous Extract Of Taxus Chinensis Var. Mairei Inhibits The Growth Of Human Lung Cancer A549 Cells In Nude Mice And Affects The Quality Of Life Of Tumor-bearing Mic

Objective:This study is to investigate the effect of AETC inhibiting tumor and the influence of Aqueous of extract of Taxus Chinensis var.mairei(AETC)acting on mice life quality.Methods:The nude mice model with A549 adenocarcinoma were established by cell inoculation method.After 24 hours,the tumor-burdened mice were randomly divided into 5 groups:model group(negative control group),CTX group(positive control group),AETC low dose group,AETC middle dose group,AETC high dose group.The nude mice were treated for 30 days according to preliminary experiment:nude mice were irrigated with saline(0.2ml per day),low dose AETC(0.2ml per day),middle dose AETC(0.2ml per day)and high dose AETC(0.2ml per day)in model group,AETC low,middle and high dose group,respectively.The nude mice in CTX group were intraperitoneal injection with CTX(2mg),then irrigated with saline(0.2ml per day).The status of tumor growth was recorded as well as weight,diet,action,mental condition and signs and symptoms in all groups.The peripheral blood was collected from eyeball vessels for blood routine test and biochemical tests after 30 days.The nude mice were anatomised after killed with breaking cervical vertebra.The tumor tissue and spleen were separated and weighted for calculating tumor inhibition rate and spleen index.The tumor inhibition rate was compared as well as QOL among groups.Results:The tumor inhibition rate of CTX and high dose AETC was 41.89%and 36.87%,respectively.The tumor weight was lager in AETC high dose group than CTX group.The difference was not statistical significance.The tumor inhibition rate of CTX was the highest,and the QOL of AETC groups was better.Compared with CTX group,nude mice have more flexible action,better fur and higher weight and spleen index in AECT groups,especially in high dose AETC group.Conclusion:The AETC can inhibit growth of A549 adenocarcinoma,and improve the QOL and immunity.Which suggested that the AETC can improve patients’ QOL when AETC treating cancer patients.
