| Objective:To construct a mobile health-based self-management program for postoperative gastric cancer chemotherapy patients and a knowledge bank suitable for this program. Methods:The study was divided into three parts:1.Questionnaire survey was used to study the self-management needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy after gastric cancer surgery, literature research was used in the research status and function design of gastric cancer mobile medical applications. The study conducted a preliminary exploration of the mobile health-based self-management program for postoperative gastric cancer chemotherapy patients.2.On the basis of previous research,a preliminary framework for self-management of patients undergoing gastric cancer postoperative chemotherapy based on mobile health was formed through brainstorming, and the preliminary framework was demonstrated by expert group meetings, the final program for self-management of patients undergoing chemotherapy for gastric cancer based on mobile health was formed. At the same time, according to the framework,a knowledge bank of self-management program for patients with postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer based on mobile health was constructed, and the specific items of the knowledge bank were determined.3.Through the literature research, the content of the knowledge bank of the self-management program for patients with gastric cancer postoperative chemotherapy based on mobile health had been comprehensively sorted out,and experts such as clinical medical treatment, clinical nursing, and cancer researchers were included to make a consensus on the rationality and scientific of the knowledge bank.Results:1.Investigation on self-management needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy for gastric cancer:a total of 182 valid questionnaires were returned in the survey, and the effective response rate was 84.45%.The results showed that postoperative chemotherapy patients with gastric cancer had more self-management needs, the highest need was medical management, and relatively low needs was emotional management and role management.Scored in the top five items were "I need to know how to adjust their diet(4.01 points)","I need to understand the nutrition knowledge treatment(3.85 points)","I need to establish the confidence of conquer disease(3.78 points)","I need long-term guidance and help medical personnel(3.60 points)","I need to establish a good medical association relationship(3.45 points)",the item with the lowest score was "I need to identify abnormal character behavior(2.21 points)".2.Literature research on gastric cancer mobile health applications:a total of 15 English literature were included in the study, through data extraction and analysis of these literature,it was found that the main functions of the existing gastric cancer mobile health applications included:self-monitoring,pain management, health education, nutrition consultation and monitoring, and strengthening physical exercise.3.Construct a mobile health-based self-management program for postoperative chemotherapy patients with gastric cancer:the expert working group discussion identified the main modules of the the final program which included five parts:"My Medical History","Understanding Diseases","Life Guidance","Self Evaluation" and "Online Interaction".Also, the experts gave their valuable suggestion for the construction of a knowledge bank of self-management program for patients undergoing postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer based on mobile health. Finally, the bank was consisted by 10 items. In the expert group meeting, the expert’s personal authority coefficient was between 0.70-0.93,and the expert’s overall authority coefficient was 0.84.The result was credible.4.Construct a knowledge bank of self-management program for patients undergoing postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer based on mobile health:reference sources for the content of the knowledge bank included 14 guidelines,3 professional books, and 2 expert consensus. After the process of extraction, translation, correction and classification of the contents of the knowledge bank, the knowledge bank manuscript of about 20,000 words was finally formed. In the expert consultation, the expert’s personal authority coefficient was between 0.70-0.87,and the expert’s overall authority was 0.76.The result was credible.Conclusion:1.The self-management needs of chemotherapy patients after gastric cancer surgery have diverse characteristics, and the self-management program for chemotherapy patients after gastric cancer surgery should be oriented to fully meet the needs of patients.2.Mobile health applications are expected to play an important role in the self-management of patients undergoing chemotherapy after gastric cancer surgery.Gastric cancer-specific mobile health applications are relatively insufficient.Existing mobile applications cannot meet the diverse self-management needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy after gastric cancer surgery.3.The self-management program of patients with postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer based on mobile health established in this study is scientific and reliable, and the knowledge bank of the program is rich, which can provide a theoretical basis and a new approach for self-management of patients with postoperative chemotherapy for gastric cancer. |
