| Objective: To study the clinical efficacy, safety and adverse reactions of Dendrobium herbal mask for patients with dry facial skin, and to evaluate the long-term recurrence rate and curative effect. To explore the action mechanism of Dendrobium herbal mask, and to provide ideas and basis for the treatment of facial xerosis with external preparations of traditional Chinese medicine, the development of medical skin care products of traditional Chinese medicine and the treatment of sensitive skin.In order to improve the effective rate of dry skin treatment, shorten the course of treatment and reduce the long-term recurrence rate. Methods: From January 2021 to January 2022,patients who met the diagnostic criteria for facial dryness were selected as the targets for treatment in the Department of Dermatology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and patients with primary condition after clinical scoring were enrolled,a total of 120 cases were selected, and they were divided into experimental groups and control groups according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The experimental group used dendrobium Materia Medica mask topically, after cleansing in warm water, one tablet at a time, evenly applied to the face, once every 2 days, each time for 15 minutes;Use winona transistacy repair patch dressing externally in the control group, after cleansing with warm water, one tablet at a time, evenly applied to the face, once every 2 days for 15 minutes. The rest of the skincare steps use only basic skincare products that do not contain functional ingredients(ceramides, sodium hyaluronate, squalane, etc.)for a total of 4 weeks. Before treatment, week 2 and week 4 of treatment, the water content of the stratum corneum, the amount of percutaneous water loss, the degree of dryness of the skin, and the degree of itching of the skin were studied and analyzed. After the end of the treatment course, two follow-up observations(2 weeks and 4 weeks after the end of the treatment course)were carried out to analyze and evaluate the recurrence time, recurrence frequency, and recurrence factors. Results: There were 120 effective subjects in this experiment, including 60 cases in the experimental group and 60 cases in the control group. There was no difference in skin dryness and pruritus score, cuticle water content(WCSC)and transdermal water loss(TEWL)between the two groups before treatment, but there was a difference in curative effect after 4 weeks of treatment(P < 0.05).The effective rate of the experimental group was 66.67%,and that of the control group was 50.00%.The difference in curative effect was statistically significant(P<0.05),which suggested that Dendrobium herbal mask could obviously improve the skin lesions of patients with dry skin. After 4 weeks of total treatment, the experimental group was better than the control group, and the difference in curative effect was statistically significant(P <0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions in 60 subjects during the observation. The recurrence rate of the experimental group was 6.90% and that of the control group was 4.35% in the follow-up 2 weeks after treatment. After 4 weeks of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the experimental group was 6.90%,and that of the control group was17.40%.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Dendrobium herbal mask is effective in treating dry facial skin, which can effectively increase skin moisture content and promote skin barrier repair. From the long-term curative effect,Dendrobium herbal mask can improve the quality of life of patients with dry facial skin to a certain extent, which is economical, simple and easy to accept.Dendrobium candidum mask in the treatment of dry facial skin gives full play to the characteristics of external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, and provides a reference for the development of medical skin care products of traditional Chinese medicine and the treatment of dry skin, which is worthy of further research and promotion. |
